    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer device equipped with a gimbal mechanism which smoothly performs the oscillation of a trace quantity.
      SOLUTION: In the transfer device, above a support on which an article to be molded having a layer to be molded on the upper surface is mounted, a movable body is provided to be vertically movable, and a mold 72 wherein a fine unevenness pattern to be transferred to the article to be molded is formed on the lower surface is provided on the lower side of the movable body. The mold is provided on the lower side of the movable body through the gimbal mechanism 45. The gimbal mechanism 45 is provided with: a first gimbal member 62 having a concave spherical surface 61 of its center and a convex spherical surface 76; and a second gimbal member 65 which has a convex spherical surface 64 opposite to the concave spherical surface 61 and a concave spherical surface 73 opposite to the convex spherical surface 76 of the first gimbal member 62 and is engaged relatively oscillatably with the gimbal member 62. A plurality of air ejection holes 77 are provided in the concave spherical surface and the convex spherical surface of the gimbal member 62 or the second gimbal member 65, and discharge holes 80 are also provided at adjacent positions.

      SOLUTION: A fixed die 1 is set in a first supporting ring 3. A moving die 2 is set in a second supporting ring 4. A third supporting ring 5 is fitted into the inlet of the ring 4 and set on the outside of the front end of the die 2. A counterbore with an inside diameter larger than the outside diameter of the front end of the die 2 is made on the front surface of the ring 5, and the lens barrel 12 is fitted into the counterbore. One end of the barrel 12 is fitted to the outside of the front end of the die 2, and a molding material is set on the die 2. After heating, the material is press-molded into a lens 11 between the dies 1 and 2. The material is then spread in the lateral direction to fix the lens 11 inside the barrel 12.
