    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the efficiency of light by use of simple constitution without increasing the number of parts items and achieve the long life of a light source and cost reduction.
      SOLUTION: Illuminating light from a light source 4a is introduced into a light conducting plate 7. The light conducting plate 7 propagates the light because of its light conduction characteristic. A first reflection means 12 then reflects the incident light from the light source to a display surface by use of its inclined surface 12a, and uses an inclined surface 12b to cause time incident light from the opposite side to the light source to be reflected in plural directions. A second reflection means 13 formed on the display surface of the light conducting plate 7 guides the light from the light source 4a to the depth of the light conducting plate and causes the ongoing light spread in the longitudinal direction of the light source to be refracted in the normal direction of the display surface, by means of a number of projecting and recessed parts formed on the display surface of the light conducting plate 7 in such a way as to be parallel to the direction of the optical axis of the light conducting plate 7. Therefore, the efficiency of utilizing the light and the uniformity of the light can be enhanced, and cost reduction can also be promoted since the need for such members as a case and a light collecting sheet can be eliminated.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device and a guide light device having a display means improved in its versatility.
      SOLUTION: A power source line insertion hole 15 of a back plate 5 is knocked out, and a connector 28 is electrically connected with a socket 52 of a light source 54 through wiring insertion holes 17. Mounting parts 57 of a back display means 50 are inserted into loading parts 21 of a device body 2 to attach the means 50 to the back plate 5 of the device body 2. Screws are inserted into screw insertion holes 8 of the device body 2 from the inside to mount the device body 2 on a ceiling surface with the screws and introduces a power source line through the insertion hole 15 to connect it to a terminal pedestal 26. The connector 28 is electrically connected to the socket 52 of the light source 44. Furthermore, a space part 31 between a part with the screw insertion hole 8 at an upper side of a frame part 3 above a lighting unit 25 disposed thereat becomes a space for work to improve its workability. The mounting parts 57 of a front display means 40 are inserted into the loading parts 21 of the device body 2 to close an opening 4 of the device body 2 by the front display means 40.
