    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the artifact of a low frequency ring without performing the rearrangement in a detector.SOLUTION: An X-ray tube generates X-rays. A high voltage generation part applies a high voltage to the X-ray tube. A plurality of X-ray detection elements detect the X-rays generated from the X-ray tube and transmitted through a subject. The X-ray detector comprises the plurality of X-ray detection elements. A first calculation part applies a first voltage generated by the high voltage generation part to the X-ray tube to calculate the ratio between a first output value outputted in each of the plurality of X-ray detection elements and a second output value outputted in each of the plurality of X-ray detection elements by applying a second voltage higher than the first voltage generated by the high voltage generation part to the X-ray tube, in each of the plurality of X-ray detection elements. A second calculation part calculates a correction amount for reducing the unevenness of the output properties of the plurality of X-ray detection elements in each of the plurality of X-ray detection elements by use of the calculated ratio.

The scintillator array includes scintillator elements arranged along a circumferential direction around a subject's body axis, and partition walls for partitioning adjacent scintillator elements. The collimators comprise a plurality of collimator plates, each of which being located at a position corresponding to each of the partition walls, with one end of each collimator plate positioned in the proximity of each partition wall and the other end of each collimator plate extending in the height direction thereof from the partition wall toward an X-ray source, and regulate incident direction of X-rays entering the scintillator elements. The masks, which absorb X-rays, are located between the partition walls and one ends of the collimator plates such that at least the partition walls are masked thereby in the direction of incident X-rays.
