      SOLUTION: A radio communication device 130 incorporates a Push protocol 131 and a timer 132, and when a timer event occurs, performs an inquiry for the presence/absence of new incoming mail. When receiving the answer of the presence of the new incoming mail, a radio communication device 130 supplies an interrupting signal to a CPU 111. This interruption makes it possible to transmit the existence of the new incoming mail to a mail notification utility program 150, and the mail notification utility program 150 performs display for notifying a user of the incoming of electronic mail through an LCD 20.
