摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide underwater welding equipment with which intrusion of water from the outside of a shielding cover is prevented and water including metallic dust intruding in the shield cover and shield gas are discharged surely and easily.SOLUTION: The underwater welding equipment includes: an underwater welding head 11 which is arranged underwater and in which a nozzle part 16 for emitting a laser beam is provided at the tip thereof; a shielding cover 18 which is provided in the periphery of the nozzle part 16 and composed of an elastic member, and with which a space where the water is removed by shielding gas is formed on the side of the tip of the underwater welding head 11; and an expansion/reduction valve 21 on which a discharging hole for discharging water including metallic dust and the shield gas from the inside of the shielding cover 18 is formed, the size of the discharging hole is expanded by pressure rising inside the shielding cover 18 and the size of the discharging hole is reduced by the pressure drop thereof.
