      SOLUTION: The moving image processing apparatus includes a similar shot detector 104 for identifying similar partial moving images by measuring the degree of similarity of the partial moving images; a meta-shot boundary candidate time input means for externally accepting a time input in the moving image which can be a boundary candidate of the above meta-shot; among tentative meta-shots divided by a meta-shot boundary candidate time being input by the above meta-shot boundary candidate time input section 109, a tentative meta-shot attribute addition 105 for adding an identical attribute to the above tentative meta-shots, being grouped and including the partial moving images belonging to an identical group; and based on the above added attribute, a meta-shot generation section 107 for combining a plurality of tentative meta-shots having the identical attribute and being temporally continuous, or defining a tentative meta-shot as meta-shot when the tentative meta-shot having an identical attribute is not continuous.
