    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a optical diffusion sheet which can be obtained by a simple process, has the small number of components and high light use efficiency, and has anisotropic diffusibility by means of which vertical and horizontal diffusibility can easily be controlled, to provide a liquid crystal display back-light and liquid crystal display which use the optical diffusion sheet, and to provide a rear projection screen and a rear projection type display which use the optical diffusion sheet.
      SOLUTION: The optical diffusion sheet is composed of woven knit fabric. Empty spaces between the weaving yarns or knitting yarns of the woven knit fabric are filled with a binder resin. Thereby, recessed or projecting shapes corresponding to the weaving or knitting loops of the woven knit fabric are formed on at least one side of the sheet, and light diffusibility is obtained.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photopolymerizable composition from which a sheet having a pattern arrayed with transparent phases and light diffusion phases with high fineness can be easily formed and a pattern forming method using the same.
      SOLUTION: The photopolymerizable composition contains particulates of 1 to 100 nm in average primary particle size, a solvent and a photopolymerizable compound having the refractive index different from the refractive index of the particulates. The photopolymerizable composition is substantially transparent and has turbidity of ≤20% when made into a thickness of 100 μm and its turbidity is increased to ≥40% by flocculation of the particulates when the solvent is dried away.
