    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive wiring management system wherein the components of the system can be retrofitted easily to a high-density wiring board, and the efficiency of field work is enhanced. SOLUTION: A worker specifies the position of an adapter 2, disposed in the wiring board 1 with a high density, by operating a row adapter selecting switch 3 and a column adapter selecting switch 4. Continuingly, the worker places the non-contact IC tag 11 attached to the connector 10 of a wiring cable 15 over the antenna 7 of a tag reader/writer to read the connector ID; a controller 19 searches the positions of the row adapter selecting switch 3 and the column adapter selecting switch 4, to identify the adapter position and furthermore identifies the connector of the wiring cable from the connector ID read with the tag reader/writer. The controller 19 utilizes the data in a database device 20 for storing wiring information, correlating the connector IDs with the adapter numbers of the wiring board 1 to support the worker in insertion/withdrawal work. A controller 19 reads-in a connecter ID and information on the adapter position to store the ID and the information in a memory, and blinks an LED 5 of the corresponding line and an LED 6 of the corresponding row to display the information on the adapter position on a display unit 22. The controller 19 supports connecter inserting and pulling work of the worker utilizing data in a database device 20 where wiring information associated with the adapter numbers of the connecter ID and wiring board 1 are stored.
