    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronous induction motor in which pull in can be carried out smoothly without using an inverter, or the like, by generating a sufficient induction torque even from a single phase power supply for home use.
      SOLUTION: The synchronous induction motor comprises a stator for forming a rotating field by conducting an AC current, a rotor core provided with slots for inserting conductors passing a current induced by the rotating field in the outer circumference wherein the flux passage is not intercepted, conductors inserted into respective slots, and a squirrel cage rotor having a ring for short-circuiting the opposite ends of the conductors wherein cuts of the same number as that of the poles of the stator are provided in the outer surface of the rotor core and fixed with permanent magnets. Pull in is performed by an induction torque and a reluctance torque and the motor rotates with the combined torque of magnet torque of the squirrel cage rotor and reluctance torque at the time of synchronization.
