摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent abnormal running of a magnetic tape caused by the boundary between the clear leader tape part and magnetic tape part of the tape, by installing a detector which detects the clear leader tape part of the cassette magnetic tape and a speed controlling circuit which controls the running speed of the tape. CONSTITUTION:When a leader tape part 1a passes the front of a photoreceptor element 22 and a magnetic tape part 1b comes, a detecting circuit 23 generates an output which indicates that the magnetic tape part 1b is a part having a delay of more than a time required when the tape 1 runs from the front of the element 22 to a capstan 5 at the winding side. When the output is generated, a contact (b) is turned on and a switching circuit 16 is connected to a frequency dividing circuit 27, and then, a speed signal is supplied to the frequency dividing circuit 27 and running of the tape 1 is started. Since the part 1b is already positioned at the capstan 4 and 5, change in running condition caused by the boundary between the parts 1a and 1b does not occur.
