    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent weeds from growing in a gap between a road pavement and a curbstone or the like.
      SOLUTION: The weeds 4 and moss growing in the gap 3 generated between the road pavement 1 and the curbstone 2 and dust are removed to be cured with a masking tape 5. A primer is applied in the gap 3 to pour a sealing material stirring to mix cement with a resin emulsion into the gap from a container so as to level a surface with a trowel. Sand is scattered on the surface until the sealing material is dried and solidified and the sealing material is covered with a natural object. When construction extension is long, the sealing material is forcedly fed with a force feed pump from a stirring tank to be jetted from a nozzle so as to fill the gap. The masking tape is peeled to complete working.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weed suppressing material directly applicable even when a gap between joints or cracks is slender or the joints or cracks are filled with earth and sand and having excellent application efficiency, weather and abrasion resistances, and to provide a method for suppressing weeds.
      SOLUTION: A weed suppressing tape is prepared by providing an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive layer having 0.3-2.0 mm thickness on the undersurface of a surface layer part composed of a resin film having 0.05-0.7 mm thickness and forming a release sheet on the top surface of the surface layer part or providing a base layer part having 0.3-2.0 mm thickness and composed of an elastic material such as synthetic rubber on the undersurface of the surface layer part composed of the resin film having 0.05-0.7 mm thickness, further forming the adhesive layer on the undersurface of the base layer part and providing the release sheet on the top surface of the surface layer part. The resultant weed suppressing tape is applied onto the joints or cracks to remove the release sheet after the application. Weed suppressing effects last long with the excellent application efficiency and further with the weather and abrasion resistances.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a weed-controlling sheet capable of recycling a natural waste in civil engineering works and exhibiting high efficacies at a low cost. SOLUTION: This weed-controlling sheet is obtained by incorporating a pulverized powder of the natural waste into a resin and forming the resultant mixture into a long sheet like shape. Roots of weeds coming flying and germinated can be prevented from penetrating into soil and the growth of the weeds germinated under the sheet can be suppressed by laying the sheet in a site intended to control the emergence and growth of the weeds. Since the sheet is the long sheetlike shape, the sheet is lightweight and deformed according to unevennesses of the ground surface. Thereby, the sheet is excellent in executability. Furthermore, recycling of the natural waste in the civil engineering works can be realized in sites of the civil engineering works.
