    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium which has a uniform thin film of an H association matter of a coloring matter molecule with a high index of refraction and successful optical properties and suitability for rapid recording/high density recording, and high sensitivity/excellent short mark recording capability, by forming the thin film by a simple technique using a mono(aza) methine compound, and also to provide a method for manufacturing the optical information recording medium. SOLUTION: The uniform thin film with successful optical properties (high index of refraction) is simply formed by a spin coating process, using a coloring matter material (a coloring matter composition containing a mono(aza) methine coloring matter and a basic compound which form the H association matter). For the coloring matter material, the mono(aza) methine compound and the basic compound both showing successful solubility are used as a solvent which does not erode a substrate. Thus an optical recording layer is formed which is made up of the thin film of the H association matter, and the coloring matter thin film features a significant difference in the index of refraction between the pre-recording stage and the post-recording stage and an endothermic reaction contributing to the decomposition of the coloring matter.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium using a mono(aza)methin compound which can form a uniform thin film with a J-associated body of a coloring matter molecule by a simple technique, can form a thin film with a high refractive index and good optical characteristics, is suitable for high speed recording and high density recording, and is excellent in high sensitivity and short mark recording capability, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: By making it possible to coat and form conveniently the uniform thin film by utilizing a spin coating technique, obtaining the good optical characteristics (high refractive index) by using a J-associated body-formable coloring matter material (a composition comprising a mono(aza)methin coloring matter and an acid), making it possible to utilize a solvent having no possibility of invading a substrate by using the mono(aza)methin compound with a good solubility and phosphoric acid as the coloring matter for it, thereby, it is possible to provide an optical recording layer consisting of a thin film forming the J-associated body, to use a coloring matter thin film with a large difference in the refractive index before and after recording and with decomposition of the coloring matter being an endothermic reaction, and to apply on the substrate by the spin coating technique.
