    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for compacting an agglomerated material capable of efficiently and densely compacting the same.SOLUTION: A method for compacting an agglomerated material comprises: a spreading process to construct an agglomerated material layer 1 by spreading an agglomerated material 2; a first density increasing process to increase density of a superficial portion of the first agglomerated material layer 1; a second density increasing process to increase the density of the remaining portion of the agglomerated material layer 1; and a compaction process to compress the agglomerated material 2. In the method for compacting an agglomerated material, an artificial barrier is constructed by: applying vibration with a first compaction machine 10 having small ground contact pressure in the first density increasing process; applying the vibration with a second compaction machine 10 having larger ground contact pressure than the first compaction machine 10 in the second density increasing process; and compacting the agglomerated material 2 with a third compacting machine having larger ground contact pressure than the second compaction machine in the compaction process.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marginal depth disposal intra-pit filler installation system and installation method in which a structure is simplified, fillers can be installed under short-distance transfer and the fresh nature of the fillers are prevented from being changed.SOLUTION: A marginal depth disposal intra-pit filler installation system for installing filling mortar 8 in a gap around radioactive waste containers 7 arranged in parallel inside a disposal pit 6 of a marginal depth disposal facility provided within a tunnel 1 and further for installing shield concrete 9 over upper portions of the containers 7 comprises a traveling wagon 20 which is capable of traveling on the disposal pit 6 in a tunnel axial direction, an installation hopper 21 which is disposed on the traveling wagon 20 and in which an opening/closing valve 30 is provided in the lower end portion thereof, and a control device 60 which remotely controls operations of respective sections. The control device 60 includes a travel instruction unit which travels the traveling wagon 20 to a desired tunnel axial direction position and an opening/closing instruction unit which opens/closes the opening/closing valve 30 in accordance with the quantity of filling mortar or shield concrete to be installed.
