    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back face block for a retaining wall, which is for use in construction of the retaining wall that dispenses with backfilling concrete and a loose form, and to provide a retaining wall construction method using the back face block for the retaining wall, and the retaining wall using the back face block.
      SOLUTION: The back face block has a plurality of columnar protrusions formed on a rectangular block back face, the protrusions each extending to the entire vertical width thereof in the vertical direction; and bowl-shaped thin thickness portions formed in the same. To construct the retaining wall, the back face blocks are set such that the protrusions make intimate contact with stay tails formed on a back face of each laying block, and a backfilling material is filled in a gap formed on a natural ground side of the back face blocks of the retaining wall, followed by pouring fresh concrete in a space formed between the laying blocks and the back face blocks for the retaining wall.

The respective fitting parts of the block for a retaining wall are engaged with the corresponding fitting parts to construct the retaining wall.
