    • PURPOSE:To permit continuous revolution with high accuracy and permit correct and strong indexing by forming the bearing part between an indexing shaft and a supporting shaft into tapered form and clamping an object by the carvic- coupling when indexing is performed. CONSTITUTION:A supporting shaft 11 has a concaved edge surface part 21, and the rear surface of the front edge part 20 of an indexing shaft 15 supported rotatably and horizontally movably onto the supporting shaft 11 and the concaved part 21 described the above are carvic-coupled by spur gears 22 and 23. The supporting shaft 11 and the indexing shaft 15 are bearing-coupled by aslant surfaces 26 and 27. In case of continuous operation, the clamp by the spur gears 22 and 23 is released by advancing the indexing shaft, and correct bearing- coupling onto the aslant surfaces 26 and 27 is performed. On indexing, clamping with the spur gears 22 and 23 is performed by retreating the indexing shaft. Thus, advance and retreat of the indexing shaft can be facilitated with little friction because of the aslant surfaces 26 and 27.

    • PURPOSE:To increase the capability of a turret lathe and reduce processing time by preparing another tool on a subsidary tool post equipped on a turret lathe independent of a turret lathe tool post. CONSTITUTION:On a subsidary tool post 1 provided independent of a turret tool post, a working spindle having a tool holder 28 is equipped so that it can travel in the axial direction and rock. When a tool 8 is mounted on this holder 28, the rocking cylinder 5 is driven by NC commands and the tool holder 28 is allowed to go forward until the machining place of a work W. This forward end is set so that the contact point of a limit switch 14 is changeable. By the signals of this switch 14 is driven another rocking cylinder, the tool holder 28 begins to rock and changes into cut feed by a feed cam 11 when the above mentioned tool B touches the work W afterward forming process continues by the cut feed until the contact of the above said switch 14 corresponding to the rocking cylinder 6 changes over.
