    • PURPOSE:To obtain flat knit fabric uniform in density and having proper degree of stitches by controlling knit fabric unwinding so that consumed yarn length or yarn feed tension coincide with a preset target value. CONSTITUTION:In a flat knitting machine, knitting yarn 3 delivered from a yarn package 4 is fed, via a feed yarn tension regulator 10, a yarn length detector 12, a feed yarn tension detector 15, through a feed yarn port 5, to many knitting needles 7 held on a knitting bed 6 to weave knit fabric 9 along with unwinding the fabric by a pair of rollers 11 connected to an unwinding motor 13. During the above weaving operation, a target value per unit course set in a yarn length setter is compared with the consumed yarn length detected by the yarn length detector 12 and a motor 13 is controlled so that both the values coincide with each other to regulate knit fabric unwinding. And, degree of stitches for the knitted fabric is controlled by regulating needle retraction so that a target feed yarn tension set in a feed yarn tension setter coincide with the value from the feed yarn tension detector 15.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent lowering of woven fabric quality due to change of weft and shorten changing time therefor by stopping weft insertion in attaining residual amount of weft in a yarn supplier to a fixed value, removing all of the residual yarn by discharging and performing weft insertion using new weft. CONSTITUTION:Weft 56 released from a yarn supplier 26 is inserted through a yarn-inserting device 18, a yarn length-measuring and storing device 14 and a weft-inserting nozzle 16, and a loom is stopped by a controlling circuit 68 according to the output signal of a residual amount sensor 70 indicating that the residual amount of yarn in the yarn supplier 26 attains a fixed value. Then the weft 56 is blown into a discharging nozzle 62 by jetting pressurized air from a blowing nozzle 64, thus the weft 56 is removed by discharging till no weft 56 is detected by a yarn sensor 4. Next, a stand 12 is rotated by 120 deg. to a direction of the arrow mark and weft 58 from a new yarn supplier 28 is sucked into a yarn-inserting device 18, and further, introduced into a weft- inserting nozzle 16 through the yarn length-measuring and storing device 14, then weft insertion with said weft 58 is started.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent modulation of engaging timing by malfunction of reeling sensor by working an engaging pin by engaging timing in absence of stroboscopic emission when stroboscopic emission occurs during weft reeling period. CONSTITUTION:Number of windings of weft reeled from a drum 4 during weft inserting is detected by a reeling sensor S of phototube type and after a given number of windings is counted, an engaging pin 17 is worked. When a stroboscope SB emits light rays during weft reeling period, control of engaging timing based on the reeling sensor S can not be operated temporarily and the engaging pin is worked by the engaging timing up to the time in absence of stroboscopic emission. An engaging timing order part and an engaging angle order part are connected to a switch part at an output side and an output signal of the engaging timing order part is usually transmitted to a driving part of the engaging pin. When stroboscopic emission occurs, the output signal of the engaging time order part is selectively transmitted to the driving part of engaging pin.
