    • PURPOSE:To reduce a coating material cost by optionally supplying various colored coating materials to a rotary atomizing head without making the inside diameter of a tubular rotary shaft of an air motor large, and simultaneously decreasing the loss of the coating material by wash and the loss of the washing solvent even though color change is carried out each time. CONSTITUTION:Ports P1-P12 supplying the various colored coating materials, washing solvent, and washing air respectively are formed by opening at the back side of the machine body 2 with a specified interval along the circumference and a check valve 11 forced to the closing direction is formed at an opening part 8 of each port P1-P12, and a coating material flow passage 7 feeding the coating material to a rotary atmizing head 5 and a rotary joint R which atternotively communicates with the each port P1-P12, are rotationally driven so as to enable positioning to the each port P1-P12. Also a needle 17 releasing the check valve 11 is arranged movably forwards and backwards on a connector 14 attached or detached to the each port P1-P12.

    • PURPOSE:To obviate the need for discarding a coating compound which is not electrostatically atomized before coating and to prevent metal bridging when high voltage is applied by evacuating a coating pipe when coating is finished and applying high voltage to an electrostatic coating machine before coating reaches a specified area when coating is started. CONSTITUTION:When coating is finished, a washing solvent and washing air are supplied from a change-over valve 5 to wash and evacuate a coating pipe 3, and this electrostatic coating machine 2 is made to be waiting without application of high voltage. When coating is started, high voltage is applied to the electrostatic coating machine 2 before a metallic coating compound supplied from the change-over valve 5 reaches a high voltage area 3a which is not separated along the coating pipe 3 by a specified insulating distance from a part to which the high voltage of the electrostatic coating machine 2 is applied. Therefore, at the start of coating when high voltage is applied to the electrostatic coating machine 2 and the coating pipe 3, the coating pipe 3 is evacuated so that metal bridging is prevented even when the voltage is increased abruptly.

CONSTITUTION:A plurality of fine tubular nozzles N1-N8 with valves V1-V8 for opening and closing nozzle holes 8 formed at nozzle ends are inserted into a tubular rotating shaft 4 in the non-contact state, and poppets 10 pressed to valve seats 9 from outside of nozzle holes 8 of respective valves V1-V8 are connected with magnets 11 and disposed slidably back and forth by the given stroke on the inner-tube rear ends of the fine tubular nozzles N1-N8, and springs 12 for energizing the poppets 10 in the valve closing direction are disposed in the fine tube nozzles N1-N8. A magnet 13 for energizing the poppets 10 in the valve opening direction by bouncing the magnets 11, disposed in the fine tubular nozzles N1-N8 in resistance to the spring force of the springs 12, is disposed movably back and forth to the rear ends or fine tubular nozzles N1-N8 in the state of facing the poles of the magnet to corresponding poles of the magnets 11 by the above arrangement.

    • PURPOSE:To decrease loss of a coating and loss of a cleaning solvent caused by cleaning at the time of color change and reduce the cost of the coating by providing a plurality of capillary nozzles in a tubular rotating shaft of an air motor with a limited inner diameter by insertion and driving independently opening and closing of each needle valve for them. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of capillary nozzles N0-N6 wherein nozzle holes 6 are opened and closed by means of needle valves 7 are provided with an annular arrangement in a machine body 2 and the apexes of the nozzles N0-N6 are connected in the lump with a manifold 10 which inserts a feeding hole 13 for a coating into a tubular rotating shaft 4 under uncontacting condition and the rear ends of nozzles N0-N6 are respectively connected with the connecting hole P0-P6 of coating hoses H0-H6 provided on the rear end side of the machine body 2. The rear end part of the needle of each needle valve 7 projected from each nozzle N0-N6 is connected with each valve driving part S0-S6 which opens and closes the needle valve 7 through each lever L0-L6 being radially arranged.
