摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a child seat detecting device capable of securely detecting whether a child seat is installed or not. SOLUTION: A plunger 82 to be slid in relation to a plunger 76 in a direction for coming close and separating to/from a bar body 20 is provided inside of the plunger 76 to be slid in a direction for coming close and separating to/from the bar body 20. When a frame 34 pushes the plunger 76 to the predetermined position, connection of the plungers 76, 82 by a solenoid 98 is released, and the plunger 82 is inserted into a bar insertion port 36. In this condition, when a lock piece 40 is lowered, the plunger 82 abuts on the lock piece 40 and while a sliding contact 86 of the plunger 82 and a fixed contact 88 of the plunger 76 are brought in contact with each other for electrical continuity, and when the lock piece 40 is not lowered, the plunger 82 is slid till it abuts on the bar body 20, and the sliding contact 86 and the fixed contact 88 are not brought in contact with each other.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a horn switching structure that is inexpensive in manufacturing cost, and capable of sounding a horn by only pushing a pad lightly. SOLUTION: When a horn operating surface M of a pad 20 is pushed, this pressing force is transmitted to a thin wall part 48 being low in rigidity without being bent because the rigidity of this horn operating surface M is large enough. Accordingly, this thin wall part 48 is elastically deformed, and the horn operating surface M descends toward a bag holder 36. With this constitution, a claw part 50A of a movable electrode 50 and another claw part 52A of a fixed electrode 52 come into contact with each other, closing a horn operating circuit, and thus a horn is sounded. Doing like this, the horn operating surface M of the pad 20 is formed into hardness and the contact part to softness respectively, and thus the horn is soundable by only pushing the pad 20 lightly.

Accordingly sliding amounts of the sliders 90, 92 depend only on the width dimensions basically, and then fitting of the child can be assuredly detected by detecting slides of the sliders 90, 92 regardless of moving amounts in fitting direction of the frame 60 and the hook body at the time of fitting.

SOLUTION: A photosensor 78 is housed in a case 72, the light as a measurement signal emitted from a luminescent element 80 of the photosensor 78 is ordinarily reflected by a bar body 20, and received by a light receiving element 82, and the time from the emission of the light from the luminescent element 80 to the reception by the light receiving element 82 is measured by a computer 84 to calculate a distance from the case 72 to the bar body 20. In a mounting state of the child seat where a lock piece 40 of a striker 38 is located between the bar body 20 and the case 72, the light is reflected by the lock piece 40, and the distance calculated by the computer 84 becomes short. When the child seat is not mounted, the distance to the lock piece 40 can not be calculated, so that whether the child seat is mounted or not can be surely detected.

A magnetic sensor unit 92 detects the revolving of the oscillating blade 82. Here, since the lateral direction of the oscillating blade 82 is the axial direction, its axial length can be determined to be comparatively long. Thereby, the strength of the oscillating blade 82 can be ensured.

SOLUTION: In the steering wheel 10, the tip of a fixing leg 28 is butted on a tapered portion 18 adjacent to a fixing hole 16 by folding the fixing leg 28 in a state in which the fixing leg 28 of the mark member 24 is inserted into the fixing hole 16 of the pad cover 14. Because the tapered portion 18 has a triangular cross section, the fixing leg 28 is folded at an acute angle, a bent portion 28A of the fixing leg 28 abuts on the corner portion 18A of the tapered portion 18, the tip of the fixing leg 28 is caught by the tapered portion 18 at a strong force, the folded state of the fixing leg 28 is hardly released, and therefore the mark member 24 can strongly fixed to the pad cover 14. Additionally, an additional component such as a conventional pin is not required to reduce the number of components, and the cost can be reduced.

The cloth 56 is sewn outside in the car width direction, while the cloth 57 is sewn inside in the car width direction. The bag body 10 is usually in the housed and contraction state along the vehicle side. At a side collision, the bag body 10 is inflated and expanded so as to absorb kinetic energy in the lateral direction of the vehicle of the head of a passenger. A vibrating force acts on the bag body 10 during inflation and expansion, but the vibration of the bag body 10 is quickly eliminated by the strap 42. As the strap 42 and the bag body 10 are connected by the cloths 56 and 57, the width of expansion of the bag body 10 is made compact.
