摘要： PURPOSE:To increase the hysteresis of signals and reduce the delay of response by incorporating a backlash circuit into a controlling circuit of the apparatus which controls the air-fuel ratio through the feedback of the signal of an exhaust gas sensor to the intake system. CONSTITUTION:In the exhaust pipe 13 of an internal combustion engine 10, an exhaust gas sensor 14 for detecting the concentration of exhaust gas and tertiary catalysts 15 are arranged, and the signal of the sensor 14 is feedback-treated to an actuator 19 arranged in an intake pipe 11 through a control circuit 33, and thus air-fuel ratio is set at a theoretical air-fuel ratio. In the control circuit 33, a backlash circuit 50 is incorporated which always keeps the hysteresis of signals constant, and the signal from the sensor 14 is introduced through a stabilizing circuit 40, and the signal 61 on starting is introduced through a compensation circuit 60. The signal from the circuit 50 is supplied to a deviation detector 16 and comparison- operated with a prescribed value, and then supplied to the actuator 19 through a temperature correcting circuit.

摘要： PURPOSE:To maintain the air fuel ratio at the theoretical level by applying a signal equal in phase to the air fuel ratio from an O2 sensor 10 to one inlet of the comparator while a signal lag in phase from the signal from the O2 sensor to the other sensor. CONSTITUTION:As an O2 sensor 10 is an air fuel density cell, the output of the sensor varies cyclically between e1 and e2 centered on the voltage corresponding to the theoretical air fuel ratio. Therefore, the inputs 22A and 22B of a comparator 22 receive a signal A equal in position to the signal from the O2 sensor 10 and a signal B lag in phase from the signal A. Consequently, the output 22C of the comparator provides the logic output ''0'' or ''1'' depending on the value of the signal A or B. The logic output of 1 or 0 indicates whether the air fuel ratio obtained from the comparator 16 tends to be higher in density or lower. The logic output is sent from the output 22C to an air fuel ratio control actuator 14.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enable the application of a secondary air shut-off negative pressure control valve unit to an exhaust countermeasure device which needs to be appropriately controlled depending on the operation of an engine, by preventing the shutting-off property of the control valve from greatly differing from the temperature characteristic of a catalyst provided in an exhaust passage. CONSTITUTION:A negative pressure escape pipe 57 is branched from an actuating negative pressure feed pipe 27 and connected to the valve seat 61 of the negative pressure control valve unit 59, which is divided into a first diaphragm chamber 67, a second diaphragm chamber 69 and a relief chamber 71 by a first diaphragm 63 and a second diaphragm 65. The first diaphragm chamber 67 is connected to venturi ports 81, 83. The second diaphragm chamber 69 is connected to a port 87 at the downstream side of a throttle valve. The areas of the first and the second diaphragms and the force of a spring 73 are so set that the shutting-off property of the control valve unit is approximated well to the temperature characteristic of a catalytic converter or the like.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain an exhaust gas purifier to control the air-fuel ratio of exhaust gas accurately by operating a secondary air control valve by means of a negative pressure switch valve to be switched over by a generated signal and provided with an air discharge control valve. CONSTITUTION:In a secondary air control valve 8, there are contained a chamber 11 connected to an air pump 4, a chamber 12 connected to an air-cleaner 3, a chamber 13 connected with the upper stream side of an O2 sensor 5 in an exhaust passage 2 to send the secondary air to an exhaust manifold, a valve body 15, a diaphragm 16 to operate this valve body, a diaphragm chamber 17, and a spring 18. A signal from the O2 sensor 5 is transmitted to the negative pressure switch valve 9 through a computor 7, and by this signal, the negative or the positive pressure is switched over to be conducted into the diaphragm chamber 17 of the secondary air control valve 8. An air discharge control valve 10 is provided between the negagive pressure switch valve 9 and the negative pressure taking-out port of a suction pipe.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of combustion properties and improve the cleaning capacity for the exhaust gas by a method wherein EGR is effected only during warming-up wherein the temperature of catalyst is not arrived at the activating temperature thereof, in an engine having a three-dimensional catalyzer in an EGR device and the exhaust pipe thereof. CONSTITUTION:The temperature of a catalyst floor 9 in the three-dimensional catalyst convertor 8 provided in the exhaust pipe 7 is sensed by a sensor 10, and when it is not arrived at the activating temperature, the atmosphere opening port 18 of a vacuum switching valve (VSV)12 is closed and EGR control pressure is delivered to an EGR modulator 16 and the diaphragm chamber 21 of an EGR valve 17. On the other hand, when the above described sensed temperature is arrived at the activating temperature, the atmosphere opening port 19 is opened by a computor 11, the atmosphere is bled through a passage 20 to deliver it into the chamber 21 and thereby closing the EGR valve 17. According to these operations, the cleaning action for the exhaust gas may be effected by an EGR action and a catalytic action respectively at the time before and after the temperature of the convertor 8 is arrived at the activating temperature thereof.
