摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip for a sliding roof using an organic glass plate capable of discharging outside the weather strip foreign matters intruding into a gap between the weather strip and the organic glass plate. SOLUTION: A sliding roof 11 consists of an organic glass plate 12, a weather strip 13 and a slide panel 14. A cover lip part 19 presses a peripheral upper part of the organic glass plate 12 and is adhered closely to it. A gap S absorbing an elongation of the organic glass plate 12 when it thermally deforms is provided between the weather strip 13 and an outer peripheral edge face of the organic glass plate 12. Pipes 22 are provided at each corner parts of the weather strip 13. The pipes 22 communicates the gap S with a bottom part of the sliding roof 11. When foreign matters such as refuse, water and mud enter into the gap S from an abutting part of the cover lip part 19 on the organic glass plate 12, the foreign matters are discharged outside the weather strip 13 from the gap S through the pipes 22.

An overlap part 15 is formed at the bottom end of the seal part 11. when the corner piece glass run 5 is installed to the corner piece part 3, the overlap part 15 is connected such that it covers from above an end part 14 of the door weather strip 13, thereby preventing rain from entering inside the door main body 2 from the connected part.

SOLUTION: A roof side weather strip 21 is placed along a roof panel 13 and a front pillar 14 about a front door opening 12, and a scuff plate 23 is placed along a bottom panel 16 about the front door opening 12. An instrument panel 24 has at each side edge a swelling portion 24a, which covers a flange portion 15a of a side outer panel 15 exposed between a front-side terminal 21a of the roof side weather strip 21 and a front-side terminal of the scuff plate 23. The front-side terminal 21a of the roof side weather strip 21 has a cover portion 21b, which covers an arcuate upper edge of the swelling portion 24a. The cover portion 21b keeps the flange portion 15a of the side outer panel 15 unexposed, so that no door opening trims need mounting on the flange portion 15a.

An overlapped hollow seal part 40 partially overlapping on the fin seal part 20b is formed on the tip of the extended wall surface of an automobile outer side surface 10a of the mounting base 10 of the second connecting part 23 and the root side of the overlapped hollow seal part 40 is closed by a bottom wall part 41.
