    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centralized cotton-gathering apparatus in a spinning machine, capable of shortening a cotton-gathering operation time while operating the spinning. SOLUTION: A fleece or the like supplied from a roller part at the time of yarn breakage is sucked by a pneumatic device installed in each spinning machine frame, and temporarily stored in a cotton-gathering room of a pneumatic apparatus. The fleece or the like stored in each of the cotton-gathering room is gathered in a centralized cotton-gathering apparatus through a branched duct connected to the cotton- gathering room, and a main duct. A signal for demanding the cotton gathering is outputted to the centralized cotton-gathering apparatus when the spinning operation is stopped without the stopping by the abnormality of the spinning machine frame. The cotton-gathering operation of the fleece or the like stored in the cotton-gathering room is certainly carried out not only at the stopping time for doffing but also at a prescribed cycle even under operation of the spinning machine frame. The centralized cotton-gathering apparatus preferentially carries out the cotton-gathering operation according to the operation stop of the spinning machine frame when the cotton- gathering period in the prescribed cycle coincides with the cotton gathering period according to the operation stop of the spinning machine frame.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tail yarn-cutting device in a spinning machine by which the tail yarn can be readily cut at a prescribed position. SOLUTION: This tail yarn-cutting device 1 is constituted of a tail yarn- winding part 2, a disc-like limiting part 3 arranged on the upper part of the yarn-winding part 2, concave parts 4 formed on the outer perimeter of the limiting part 3 at a prescribed interval and cutting blades 5 installed at the each concave part 4. The cutting blades 5 are formed so that the upper surfaces 5a of the blades 5 may be at the same plane as the upper surface of the limiting part 3 and the lower surface 5b may be tilted in the oblique upper direction from inner side to outer side of the limiting part 3. The tail yarn-cutting device 1 is formed into one piece by processing a metal pipe. The cutting blades are formed by forming plural slits at a prescribed interval on the outer periphery part of a flange formed at the one terminal of the pipe, bending the parts in the plural concave parts 4 to protrude the parts from upper surface of the flange and cutting and removing the protruding parts so as to form a flush surface with the upper surface of the flange.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the end of a thread from the end face of a package in a spinning machine such as, for example, an open-end fine spinning machine, by moving a cradle arm upward after a predetermined time being elapsed from occurrence of thread breakage to isolate the package from a winding drum. CONSTITUTION:In a device for preventing the end of a thread from dropping upon thread breakage from the end face of a package P which is rotatably supported by an cradle arm 11 so that it is made into contact with and driven by a winding drum 12 which continues to rotate even during thread breakage, a thread breakage detecting device 31 detects a thread breakage to issue a thread breakage signal, and therefore, a cradle arm 11 is moved upward after the lapse a predetermined time from the time when the thread breakage signal is generated, to isolate the package P from a winding drum 12. The predetermined time is the time period until the time just after the thread end has passed a nip section, and is determined by dividing an averaged thread path length from the thread breakage detecting device 31 to the nip section with a winding speed. Thus, even after thread breakage, a thread having an end is made into contact with the nip section in the package P, thereby the dropping of the thread end from the end face of the package P may be surely prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To minimize the range of variations in thread tension in a thread tension regulating device which is provided in a spinner to absorb variations in thread tension, by providing such an arrangement that a braking force is applied to a regulating lever having a thread guide section by means of a braking spring. CONSTITUTION:A self-weighting type thread tension regulating device 10 is disposed between a wind-up drum and a pay-off drum in, for example, an open-end fine spinning machine, and is rotatably supported onto a stationary shaft 11, including a regulating lever 12 having a thread guide 12a at its front end. Further there are provided a braking plate 13 and which is made into contact with the rotating surface 12c of this regulating lever 12 and a braking spring 14, for applying a braking force to the rotating surface 12c. Further, the regulating lever 12 has a small-diameter cylinder 12b which is axially projected from the large diameter base end of the lever 12. Further, there is provided a cylinder 16a secured to a spring retainer plate 16 integrally attached with the stationary shaft 11, the cylinder 16a surrounding the braking spring 14 fitted onto the cylinder 12b.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the time required for completion of a series of cop exchange operations in a cop exchanger. CONSTITUTION:A cop exchanger moves a doffing bar 10 through a pantograph mechanism in the vertical direction and the pantograph mechanism is driven by a power cylinder converting the rotatory power of a motor to a reciprocating motion of a drive shaft. The whole body of the pantograph mechanism is rotated around the drive shaft in the direction in which it approaches or goes away from a spinning machine frame. The position of the doffing bar 10 is determined by CPU based on signals respectively sent from a rotary encoder sending out a signal corresponding to the vertical displacement amount of the doffing bar 10 and a detection sensor for detecting the relative position of the pantograph mechanism to the spinning machine. If the doffing bar 10 is arranged to a preliminarily determined prescribed position during the course of an operation of the rotational mechanism of the power cylinder or the pantograph mechanism, the operation of the other mechanism is made to start. Thus, the vertical movement of the doffing bar 10 and the rotational motion of the whole body of the pantograph mechanism are simultaneously performed.
