摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yellow colored composition to be used for manufacturing a color filter having a high contrast ratio, high lightness and a wide color reproducing region, and to provide a liquid crystal display device using the composition, the device capable of representing a bright color with high contrast.SOLUTION: The yellow colored composition for a color filter comprises a coloring matter (a), a binder resin (b), an organic solvent (c), an active energy ray polymerization initiator (d), and an active energy ray-curable monomer (e). The coloring matter (a) contains a coloring matter (a1) essentially comprising an azo-based yellow pigment having a specific surface area of 90 m/g or more by a BET method and a coloring matter (a2) for color matching, which is another yellow pigment or an orange-color pigment. The coloring matter (a2) for color matching is included by 0.07 wt.% or more and less than 20 wt.% in total 100 wt.% of the coloring matter (a), and shows a specified spectrum.
