    • PURPOSE:To form good rugged patterns on the surface of a finish coated film by compounding thermally expandable microcapsules with a primer coat, applying the mixture thereon and curing the coat by heating the same at the temp. at which the capsules do not foam, then applying the finish coat and heating the coat to expand the capsules. CONSTITUTION:A thermally expandable foaming agent is microcapsulated and the capsules are dispersed in the primer coat which can be cured at the temp. lower than the foaming temp. of the abovementioned foaming agent. The dispersion is then applied on a base material and is cured. The primer coat is preferably a water dispersible emulsion paint which allows film formation only by drying of water or a radiation curing type paint which is cured by UV rays or radiations, such as electron rays, at ordinary temp. After the finish coat is applied, the coat is heated to above the foaming temp. of the foaming agent and to foam the foaming agent in the primer coated film. The rugged patterns are thus formed. The finish coat is preferably enamel paints of a melamine-alkid system and acryl system. The coated film having the desired rugged patterns and excellent corrosion resistance and staining resistance is formed on the surface of the base material in this way.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent initial adhesion property and a time durability of adhesion, coating a galvanized steel plate with a substrate, and thereafter performing a adhesive-processing with a coating material good in time durability of adhesion for the first coat priming and that good in initial adhesion to the adhesive for the top coating. CONSTITUTION:The base material 1 of a coated steel plate is to be a galvanized steel plate or a zinc-alloy-metallized steel plate. Primary coats 2 and 2' are the thermally formed films which are made by applying one or both of zinc phosphate processing and chromate processing. Undercoating films 3 and 3' comprise a polyester coating material, however, the film adhesion of the polyester coating material of metallized steel plate is little deteriorated even if it is exposed to humid circumstances for long time. Otherwise, topcoating films 4 and 4' comprise epoxy, urethane, regular polyester, acrylic material or the like, each of which is superior in adhesion with adhesives and an excellent initial adhesion can be obtained when adhesive-processing. Thus, an excellent initial adhesion strength and the durability of adhesion strength can be realized when adhesive-processing.
