摘要： PURPOSE:To solve the cause of food poisoning by rapidly and accurately measuring the enzymatic activity of the labelled antibody bonded or unbonded to a carrier, by reacting an enterotoxin-containing solution with an anti-enterotoxin antibody insolubilizing carrier and an enzyme labelled anti-enterotoxin antibody. CONSTITUTION:Bacteria, for example, a staphylococcus is cultured and purified staphylococcus enterotoxin A is obtained from the supernatant of the culture medium. A rabbit is immunized with this enterotoxin A to obtain anti-enterotoxin anti-serum from which an anti-enterotoxin antibody is, in turn, obtained. Thereafter, this antibody is bonded to an inert carrier to obtain an antibody insolubilizing carrier while said antibody is labelled, for example, by a peroxidase marker to obtain a labelled antibody. A food causing food poisoning is homogenized with a physiological saline solution and the homogenate is centrifugally separated to obtain a supernatant. The antibody insolubilizing carrier and the labelled antibody are simultaneously or separately reacted with the obtained supernatant to measure the activity of the marker of either one of the labelled antibody bonded to the insolubilizing carrier or the unbonded labelled antibody. The measured value is compared with the standard obtained from a specimen with known enterotoxin concn. to know the concn. of enterotoxin in the specimen. By this method, measurement is enabled rapidly and accurately with high sensitivity.
