    • PURPOSE:To prevent flushing in the case of a sudden change in plant load by sealing water using clean, high-pressure condensate downstream of a condensate purifying device and at the inlet of a high-pressure condensate pump CONSTITUTION:A sealing pipe line 22 branching from a condensate pipe line 9 at the delivery portion of a high-pressure condensate pump 8 is installed in the shaft seal portion of a high-pressure drain pump 20, and a temperature regulating valve 23 is installed in the sealing pipe line 22, for controlling the temperature of return water in response to a control signal from a temperature detection controller 24 installed in a sealed water return pipe line 25 leading from the shaft seal portion of the high-pressure drain pump 20. The return water is at the same pressure as atmospheric pressure and is collected into a return water collecting tank 26 by means of the sealed water return pipe 25 as gravity flow. Thereby the shaft seal portion of the high-pressure drain pump 20 is always controlled so that a pump suction temperature is about 50 to 60 deg.C, which is much lower than about 180 deg.C and higher. Therefore, even if pressure drop occurs as during the load shutdown of a plant, the shaft seal portion of the pump does not flush and so the function of sealing a shaft can be secured.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the moisture in the vapor flowing through a moisture separator by providing a bleeder pipe discharge part having about the same inner diameter as a cross-around pipe and a bleeder pipe part having a smaller inner diameter than that of the cross-around pipe to a bleeder pipe connected to the lowermost part of an elbow and connecting the outlet of the bleeder part to a feed water heater. CONSTITUTION:A moisture separator 3 for removing the moisture contained in exhaust steam is provided to a cross-around pipe 2. The E part of a bleeder pipe 5 has the same inner diameter D as a cross-around pipe. The F part is tapered to a diameter necessary as the bleeder pipe 5. The steam in the pipe 2 tends to turn to horizontal C from vertical B as shown by the dotted arrow A'. Meanwhile, the moisture in the steam is likely to flow along the inner wall of the pipe 2 as shown by the signal dot chain line G. Consequently, the moisture entrained by the bleed steam and flowing in the pipe 2 is separated, and the wetness of the steam flowing in the pipe 2 after the separator is reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To always obtain a cooling water amount necessary for a condenser cleaning unit and to maintain satisfactory performance of a condenser by controlling an opening of a movable blade based on a raised value of a temperature of cooling water and a preset coolant temperature raised set value as an allowable range of the temperature rise. CONSTITUTION:A plant output signal (p) is read from a plant output signal generator 17, and a cooling water temperature rise signal DELTAT is read from a cooling water temperature rise signal calculator 18. When the signal (p) is smaller than a predetermined value, a predetermined blade opening signal is output. When the signal (p) is larger than the predetermined value, if a value obtained by adding a predetermined insensible zone to the set value (DELTATS) is smaller than the signal DELTAT, a blade opening increase signal is output. When the value DELTATS is smaller than the signal DELTAT, a present blase opening signal is output. When the value DELTATS is larger than the signal DELTAT, a blade opening decrease signal is output.

    • PURPOSE:To dispense with the need to absorb changes in position by means of connected piping by connecting drain tanks for collecting drainage produced in heat-transfer tubes to the cylindrical main body of a moisture-separating heating device in such a manner as to have the drain tanks supported by the cylindrical main body of the moisture-separating heating device. CONSTITUTION:To the lower part of a cylindrical main body 22 is connected a cloth-around pipe 4 by which cycling steam flows in and to the upper part is connected a cloth-around pipe 6 by which the cycling steam flows out; heated- steam drain tanks 20, 21 are supported respectively by supporting plates 32a, 32b with the intermediary of hangers 33a, 33b. Even when the cloth-around tubes, and the like change their positions through expansion with start-up of th plant, the heated-steam drain tanks 20, 21 change their positions together with the main body 22. This constitution thus dispenses with bent piping or use of long heated-steam drain pipes for the connection of the heated-steam drain tanks 20, 21 to the cylindrical main body 22 of the moisture-separating heating device.

    • PURPOSE:To avoid a high pressure turbine from overload operation following operation stop of a heater by constructing a plant in such a way as controlling output from the plant when operation stop of a combustor is detected in a control device having a moisture content separation heater between a high- pressure turbine and a low-pressure turbine. CONSTITUTION:Main steam from a nuclear reactor 1 is supplied to a lowpressure turbine 8 through moisture content separator 5, the 1st step and the 2nd step heater 6, 7 after it is led to a high-pressure turbine 3. The steam led out from the intermediate step of the high-pressure turbine is led through heating steam stop valve in the 1st step heater and other steam branched from the main line 2 is led through a steam stop valve 16, and heated steam controlling valve 17 in the 2nd step heater 7. In this case, each of detectors 18-20 is attached to each of valves 14, 16 and 17, respectively to detect its opening and closure. A heater control device 22 detects the operation stopping state of the heaters 6, 7 using those output signals and suppresses the output of the plant depending on the detected stopping state.
