    • PURPOSE:To provide a portable electronic equipment in which the installation space of an option device can be sufficiently ensured and the extension of the option device can be easily attained without damaging the electromagnetic shield property of the casing body, and the structure of a casing body can be simplified. CONSTITUTION:This equipment is equipped with the casing body whose inside surface is covered with a conductive coat 37, and a main circuit substrate 100 housed in the casing body on which a circuit part 108 which generates a noise during an operation is mounted. The casing body is equipped with a case main body 5 whose bottom part is opened, and a bottom plate 6 connected detachably to the case main body. The main circuit substrate 100 is arranged so that the inside of the casing body can be divided into an upper mounting area 103 and a lower mounting area 104, the lower surface of the circuit substrate 100 is covered with a shield plate, and a circuit part 108 is arranged in the upper mounting area 103. Also, the option device can be selectively housed in the lower mounting area 104, and exposed to the outside of the casing body at the time of detaching the bottom plate.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the rotational frequency of a cooling fan or to stop the rotation when temperature in the transmissive liquid crystal display device (TLCD) is dropped and to reduce continuous noise generated from a cooling fan by detecting the temperature of cooling air and controlling the rotational frequency of the cooling fan in accordance with the detected temperature. CONSTITUTION:The 1st liquid crystal (LC) cover 8a supported by a frame-like part 1a with a fixed interval and the 2nd LC cover 8b supported by a frame-like part 1b with a fixed interval are respectively formed on one direction part of the TLCD panel 7. Cooling air passages for allowing cooling air to flow are respectively formed in a gap between the one-direction part of the panel and the cover 8a and a gap between the other direction part of the panel 7 and the cover 8b. The temperature of the cooling air 14 flowing into the passage is detected by a temperature detector 16 fixed to the cooling air passage and the rotational frequency of the cooling fan 11 is controlled in accordance with the detected temperature. Consequently, continuous noise generated from the cooling fan 11 can be reduced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy-saving effect display method which supports to facilitate management of energy-saving measures by allowing display of a difference between a target value and an actual result value of the reduction in power consumption and easy comparison between the target value and the actual result value. SOLUTION: A personal computer 10 includes at least a display part 14, a power supply part 21, a consumed power information storage part 25, and a main control part 26. The consumed power information storage part 25 is controlled by the main control part 26 to store a history of consumed power by successively storing a current consumed power, a reduced power calculated on the basis of a difference between a consumed power in an operation state requiring a maximum power and the current consumed power, and the present date in association with each other. The main control part 26 calculates the difference between the target value and the actual result value of power consumption on the basis of the history of consumed power and generates such an image to display it on a display part 14 that user's sense of achievement is more induced through sight and his or her sense of fun is more evoked as the actual result value of reduced power approaches the target value.
