    • PURPOSE:To enable the title torque detector to be manufactured in simplified processes further to be provided with excellent torque detection characteristics by a method wherein amorphous magnetic metal thin bands with magnetostriction fixed on a torque transmission axle, and torque detecting cylindrical windings around the peripherally of the bands without contact with the bands are provided. CONSTITUTION:A pair of amorphous magnetic metal thin bands 12a, 12b are fixed at two positions an a torque transmission axle 11 made of strong magnetic material extending over all periphery of the axle 11. The amorphous magnetic metal thin bands 12a, 12b are provided with the induction magnetic anisotropy Kuo at an angle theta(e.g., + or -45 deg.) with the peripheral direction of the torque transmission axle 11. Furthermore, the said bands 12a, 12b are provided with respective cylindrical detective windings 13a, 13b along the periphery of the bands in the no-contact state with the bands. The detection signals from the detective windings 13a, 13b are rectified by a synchronous detector 26 through the intermediary of differential amplifiers 23-25 to produce DC torque signals changing corresponding to the torque changes. Through these procedures, the title torque detector can be provided with torque detection characteristics having excellent linearity in high output further simplifying the manufacturing processes.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analog/digital conversion circuit that cancels the effect of variance in an offset voltage of a differential amplifier circuit and reduces an analog/digital conversion error without the need for a highly accurate differential amplifier circuit.
      SOLUTION: The analog/digital conversion circuit is provided with the differential amplifier circuit DIFF that receives an analog voltage Vin and a reference voltage Vref at two input terminals, compares the two input voltages levels and converts the difference into 1-bit digital data, a changeover switch circuit MPX that interchanges the two input voltages given to the differential amplifier circuit on the basis of a switching signal, and a digital signal processing circuit 10 (EXOR, REG1, REG2, ADD) that calculates an average of conversion output data corresponding to data before and after the interchange of the two input voltages to the differential amplifier circuit within one analog/digital conversion processing period.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold low temperature specific heat characteristics of a race earth magnetic cold storage material and improve chemical stability by forming an oxide of Nd, Ho, Gd, and Br different from rare earth elements Ni, Co, and Cu on the surface of a single rare earth element or a rare earth element compound of any of Ni, Co, and Cu. SOLUTION: Cold storage material grains are formed of a single race earth element, such as a single unit of Y, La, Ce, Sm or a compound of any of the above rare earth elements and at least one kind of metal selected from Ni, Co, and Cu. The surface of the cold storage material grains is constructed of at least one kind of oxides of Nd, Ho, Gd, and Br different from the rare earth elements forming the Grains. There is used Er3 Ni for example as a compound forming a main composition of the grains which is desired to be formed into a shape of the average particle diameter or a fiber diameter of about 1 to 2000μm. With the shape smaller than that described above the grains easily flow out from the cold storage unit but with the shape larger than that heat returning effect is lowered. Chemical stability is improved by forming the surface of the cold storage matter with a coating layer of an oxide of a rare earth element.

Output voltages +9Vin and -9Vin are obtained from the terminals 307, 308.
