摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a linker loader which generate logical addresses for processes so that a logical cache is used without partiality. CONSTITUTION:A random number generation part 13 generates a value by using a method for obtaining a different value as much as possible for each load module of each process. An offset address calculation part 14 applies a simple mathematical function to this value to determines an offset address for arranging the program. The linker 15 links an object program so that load modules are arranged according to the address and the generated load modules are stored in a storage part 16. When the loader 18 loads the modules onto a main storage 19, the addresses where the load modules in a logical address space are different, process by process, and decentralized uniformly on the cache, which is uniformly used, so that the hit rate of the cache is improved.

SOLUTION: At the time of processing a check point, the contents of a main storage 11 are stored in a paging device 12, and every time normal page-out is executed, pages in the device 12 are newly secured while holding the state storing the contents obtained at the check point processing in the device 12 and page-out is executed on the secured pages. Thereby, the contents of the main storage 11 obtained at the check point processing is always stored in the device 12. When a fault is generated, the contents of the main storage 11 are recovered from the device 12 storing the contents of the main storage 11 obtained at the time of check point processing or from a check point storing memory and pages paged-out after the check point are discarded.

摘要： PURPOSE:To perform sufficient protection with flexibility by the same method in thread operation instructions among threads sharing the same virtual address space by providing a list for registering information on from which thread operations can be performed to the respective threads. CONSTITUTION:First, the information of an operation thread ID and a memory area ID for which a system call is executed is obtained respectively from a thread ID storage part 6 and a memory area ID storage part 5. The table of a thread operation authority storage part 7 is referred to based on the information and a pertinent entry is searched. Then, the information of a part pertinent to intra-thread state read authority within the part for indicating the operation authority of the found entry is read and whether or not read is permitted is judged. The judgement is performed in an operation authority judging part 12. When it is permitted by the judgement, the referring operation of a thread management table for reading the internal state of the permitted thread is executed to an object thread in a thread state reference execution part 16.
