    • PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the service life and damage of the rotor, turbine, and shaft system of a generator and, at the same time, to continuously and stably supply electric power to a power system from the generator. CONSTITUTION:When a current signal flowing to a three-phase circuit connecting a generator 11 to a power system is inputted to an opposite-phase current discriminator 17 after the signal is converted into an opposite-phase current value by means of a current-converter 16, the discriminator 17 compares the opposite-phase current value with a control value set by an opposite-phase current control value setter 18 and, when the opposite-phase current value exceeds the control value, detects unbalanced amounts between the magnitudes and phases of the current values of the three phases obtained from the current signal by operating a three-phase current value unbalanced amount detector 19. A resistance and reactor which are connected to the three-phase circuit in a state where they can be turned on are turned on by means of a circuit breaker 21 by finding the impedance amount required for balancing the three- phase current values.

    • PURPOSE:To shunt low and high order harmonic currents from a main circuit of a power plant by employing a resonance circuit having a resistor, a reactor and a capacitor. CONSTITUTION:Power system 1 sides (high voltage sides) of main transformers 6 are respectively connected to a harmonic current preventing device body (HI) 12 through a circuit breaker 11. The breaker 11 is closed at the time of operating a power plant 10 to connect the HI 12 to the main circuit of the plant 10. The HI 12 has a quinary shunt circuit 121 of a single shunt circuit for shunting a low order harmonic current from the system into the plant 10, from the main circuit of the plant 10, a septenary shunt circuit 122 and a high order shunt circuit 123 for shunting a high order harmonic current from the system 1 to the plant 10, from the main circuit of the plant 10, which each has a resistor, a reactor and a capacitor. Accordingly, since the harmonic current is absorbed to the HI 12, no harmonic current flows to a generator 7, various transformers 6, 8, a relay group 9 in the plant 10.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the repetition of an unnecessary tap switching action by operating the mean value of respective winding voltages at the secondary side and tertiary side of three-winding transformer and canceling the unbalance of respective voltages. CONSTITUTION:When the voltage of a secondary side winding 2 detected from the secondary voltage signal of a transformer 6 for a secondary side winding measuring instrument is in an action area in being dislocated from an LTC voltage setting value to a lower side by a fixed quantity and the voltage of a tertiary side winding 3 detected from the secondary voltage signal of a transformer 7 for a tertiary side winding measuring instrument is in a blind sector in being dislocated from the LTC voltage setting value to a higher side, a voltage control circuit 12 operates the mean value of the voltages of the windings 2 and 3. Thus, the unbalance of the voltages of the windings 2 and 3 is canceled. Only when the difference between the mean value obtained by the operation and the LTC voltage setting value exceeds the fixed quantity, a switching signal (a) is sent, and an on-load tap switching driver 8 is operated.
