SOLUTION: This device includes a pair of endless belts 4, 5 forming a paper sheets carrying passage 3 for carrying the paper sheets 2 while pinching them, a flat pulley 7 provided with plural pulleys forming the carrying route of the endless belts 4, 5 and formed with plural pulleys respectively forming the carrying route of the endless belts 4, 5 nearly flat in peripheral surface 10 thereof and arranged so as to be brought in contact with the paper sheets carrying passage 3, and crowning pulleys 9 respectively provided with a crowning having the exposed peripheral surface and arranged in the carrying route of the endless belts 4, 5 between the flat pulleys 7 with a space 15 from the paper sheets carrying passage 3.

    • PURPOSE:To accurately detect that a case has been full of mail matters by counting the number the mail matters accumulated in the accumulation case, and letting a CPU judge whether or not the accumulation case has been full of the mail matters based on the result of detection by an optical reflection type sensor when the number of counts exceeds a specified value. CONSTITUTION:In a device which divides mail matters by a division means, and houses and accumulates the divided mail matters in an accumulation case in order via a chute, the device is provided with a counting sensor 6 detecting mail matters passing through the chute, and with an optical reflecting type full load detecting sensor 7 detecting whether or not the accumulation case is full of the mail matters. And the output of the counting sensor 6 is counted by a CPU 12 while the mail matters are being accumulated, and when the number of counts exceeds a specified value, let the CPU judge whether or not the accumulation case is full of the mail matters based on the output of the full load detecting sensor 7 from that time on. And when it is judged that the case has been full of the mail matters, a display unit 14 is operated via a display driver 13. By this constitution, it can be accurately detected that the case has been full of the mail matters even if there exist some mail matters enclosed with vinyl sheets and the like, the reflection factor of which is great.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet separating/conveying mechanism capable of reducing the load of a torque limiter, separating sheets while conveying them at a high speed, and improving the processing efficiency.
      SOLUTION: The sheet separating/conveying mechanism 1 has a feed roller 3 disposed on the lower face of a conveying passage, a motor 4 for rotatingly driving the feed roller 3, a separation roller 5 in rotatingly contact with the feed roller 3 via the conveying passage, and a torque limiter 13 for transmitting the rotation driving force from the motor 4 and giving the torque in the reverse direction to the separation roller 5. The load to be applied to the torque limiter 13 is reduced and the feed roller 3 can be rotated at a high speed by rotating the feed roller 3 at a higher speed than the rotation speed of the motor 4, rotating a pulley 11 at a lower speed than the rotation speed of the motor 4, and rotating a pulley 12 at a lower speed than the rotation speed of the separation roller 5. Thereby the sheet processing efficiency can be improved.
