    • PURPOSE:To provide a high temperature type radiant tube having a superior reliability in operation under a high temperature and having a high efficiency by a method wherein a heat-resisting characteristic or an anti-thermal shock characteristic of each of the components is improved. CONSTITUTION:An SiC type heat exchanger 2 is inserted into and arranged at each of locations near both ends of a main body 1 of an SiC tube constituting a combustion chamber 1. An SiC fine tube 2b is filled in the SiC heat exchanger 2. A fuel gas supplying system 3 is arranged in such a way that it may reach the combustion chamber 1a through the SiC heat exchanger 2. Each of burners 4 is installed at the extremity end of the fuel gas supplying system 3. space between the combustion chamber 1a and the SiC heat exchanger 2 is partitioned by a SiC partition plates 8 having openings arranged in such a way that rich or lean states may be formed in correspondence with a ratio between preheated air and fuel gas. Then, this high temperature type radiant tube is constructed such that the combustion is performed while the burners 4 are changed over from each other.

    • PURPOSE:To permit the provision of an appearance same as charcoal without effecting any combustion by a method wherein a carbonized natural wood type silicon carbide heat generating body, whose area including the surface thereof is constituted of a silicon carbide layer, is received in a vessel and heat generating bodies are arranged near the heat generating body to heat the same. CONSTITUTION:A heating device 10 is constituted of a vessel 11, made of earthenware and the like, and heating bodies 12, arranged in the vessel 11 and formed of metallic coils, silicon carbide material or the like. A power source is connected to the heating bodies 12 and a voltage is impressed thereon from the power source. A silicon carbide heat generating body 20 is received in the vessel 11 of the heating device 10 and is heated by the heating bodies 12 to a red-hot temperature higher than 800 deg.C whereby radiates much amount of far infrared rays and heats bodies to be heated. The silicon carbide heat generating body 20 shows the appearance of a carbonized natural wood while a silicon carbide layer 21 is formed in the area thereof including at least the surface thereof. The silicon carbide layer 21 is preferable to contain 10-60weight% of silicon in order to restrain the generation of cracks accompanied by the repetition of heat generation as well as consumption due to oxidizing and improve the deterioration of heat conduction accompanied by the existence of voids.
