    • PURPOSE:To reduce a decrease in thickness and to realize energy-saving formation of a rim without external damage by detecting pressure application and rotation states between a bottom roll and a top roll, and performing servocontrol so that they meet optinum conditins stored previously. CONSTITUTION:A rim blank ring 13 is clamped between a couple of bottom rolls 11 and 12 and pressed in an axial direction, and further pressure perpendicular to the axial direction is applied by a top roll 14. During this pressure application, pressure application states and rotation states between bottom rolls 11 and 12, and top roll 14 are derected by and transmitted from pressure encoders 25 and 55, speed encoders 27, 34, 57, and 64, and position encoders 28 and 58. Those data are compared by comparison operation parts 42 and 72 with optimum pressure application and rotation conditions stored previously in command parts 40 and 70 to bring the pressure application and rotation of the rolls 11 and 14 under servocontrol momentarily so that the optimum conditions are obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To carry out push and pull manual operation of a spike pin by heating and deforming a coil made of shape memory alloy and rotating a rotary body to protrude the spike pin through a pin holder, and resetting the coil to push in the spike pin. CONSTITUTION:An LC resonance circuit consisting of a shape memory alloy coil 9 and a capacitor 15 connected to it in serial is accommodated inside a case 3 embedded in a tire 17. When the LC resonance circuit is energized to heat and contract the coil 9, a metallic fine wire 12 is stretched to rotate a rotary bobbin 10. At the same time, a rotary body 5 rotates through a crowned pawl tooth 19. When energization to the LC resonance circuit is turned off, the coil 9 returns to its original shape, so that the rotary bobbin 10 makes its reverse rotation. Since the rotary body 5 stops as it is and its cam surface 5a is formed into a large-diameter, a pin holder 2 is pushed up. As a result, a spike pin 1 protrudes from the surface of the tire 17 and sticks in a road surface.
