    • PURPOSE: To prevent the drop-out defect and mispositioning by adhesion of foreign matter by adhering a transfer sheet and a member to be transferred right after dropping of a non-solvent type adhesive and forming the parts where light shielding films and color filter overlap as spacers. CONSTITUTION: The color filters 3 of plural colors are formed to prescribed pattern shapes by a pigment dispersion method, etc., on a transfer base 1 consisting of, for example, a metallic sheet. The light shielding films 4 consisting of resins dispersed with black pigments are so formed in the spacings between the color filters 3 in such a manner that the peripheral parts thereof have overlaps with the edges of the color filters 3. The non-solvent type adhesive 5 in a liquid form consisting essentially of, for example, acryl, is dropped onto the surface formed with the color filters 3 and a transparent glass substrate (member to be transferred) 6 is put thereon from above and both are press bonded, by which the adhesive 5 is uniformly spread at ordinary temp. At this time, the projecting parts A generated by the overlaps of the light shielding films 4 and the color filters 3 act as the spacers and an adhesive layer having a uniform film thickness is formed. The transfer base 1 is peeled after this adhesive layer is cured by UV rays.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue exposure while executing an exact check with respect to dimensional accuracy by arranging at least either of a work piece and an exposure mask in such a manner that their pattern surfaces face opposite to each other and measuring the measurement pattern at the same positional relation as the positional relation at the time of pattern exposure. SOLUTION: The mask 1 for exposure for pattern exposure is installed by positioning its light shielding pattern surface (film surface) downward. The work piece 2 with its surface coated with a photosensitive film positioned to face upward is arranged right under this mask in tight contact therewith. Next, the work piece 2 is exposed with active light from above on the mask 1 side for exposure and is developed, by which the light shielding patterns are formed on the work piece 2. The work piece 2 and the mask 1 for exposure are then disposed in such a manner that the pattern surface of either thereof faces opposite and measurement is executed by using a measuring instrument of a transmitted light system in the case the dimensional comparison and measurement of the mask 1 for exposure and the work piece 2 are carried out in order to evaluate the pattern transferability from the mask 1 for exposure to the work piece 2. Then, the patterns to be measured attain the same positional relation as the positional relation at the time of pattern exposure.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the orientation defect of liquid crystals and to improve display quality by patterning and forming resin black matrix layers by a transfer system on a counter electrode so as to have regions concealing the thin-film transistors(TFTs) opposite thereto and partly overlapping on the end regions of color filters opposite thereto. SOLUTION: The counter electrode (ITO film) 5 is formed by sputtering over the entire surface on a glass substrate 1 or plastic substrate 1' used on the one counter electrode substrate side. The resin black matrices 6 are then formed by the transfer method on the ITO film 5 so as the cover the TFTs 2 and to partly overlap on the ends of the color filter 3 layers when the substrate is disposed opposite to the electrode substrate with TFT circuits. The resin black matrix layers 6 enhance the contrast of the display pixels. The state of the liquid crystal 7 layer is changed by the action of the current flowing between the electrodes of the ITO films 4, 5 existing on both electrode substrates and the light transmittance of every pixel part is changed, by which the image display of colors is embodied.

    • PURPOSE: To improve sealing property by forming a color filter (CF) element on a transfer plate, applying an adhesive, drying and after that, partially forming a sticking preventive film by printing on the adhesive of a non-image part to prevent the transfer of the adhesive at the time of transferring the CF element. CONSTITUTION: The CF element 3 is formed by applying a photosensitive resin of a low molecular weight gelatin by a spinner on a strippable layer 2, pattern exposing with activated light after drying, dyeing with a red acid dye and further pattern exposing green, blue and black in the prescribed positions, developing and fixing. Next, an adhesive layer is provided. Next, the sticking preventive layer 5 is provided by preparing a solution made by dissolving polyvinyl alcohol in an ethanol aq. solution and printing with a flexoletterpress on the non-image part except the CF element. The transfer plate 1 to 5 and a glass substrate 6 are opposed to each other, pressurized, irradiated with ultraviolet ray and are separated. Further, a transparent electrode is formed on the CF element 3.
