摘要： PURPOSE:To maintain air-tightness of a cable easily after joint work by shaping the cable round through a sealing tape upon finish of joint work then winding an air-shrink tape several times and securing the opposite end sections with a vinyl tape and the like thereafter shrinking the tape naturally. CONSTITUTION:A sealing tape 1 having a predetermined width is wound around a buckling point D, a crack or a peeling point on a cable C until it will be flush to the surface of the cable sheath then it is shaped into a circle. Thereafter, an air-shrink tape 2 is wound around the cable including the shaped section such that the step is leveled off with the axial thickness thereof being larger than that of the endface board of a cable joint box. Both ends thereof are then secured with a vinyl tape 3 and/or a band, thereafter it is left as it is and fixing work of the cable joint box is carried out. By such a method, temperature fluctuation of compression amount can be suppressed and air- tightness can be insured easily and safely.
