    • PURPOSE:To improve performance of ozone generator, it is provided with wick which contacts with inner periphery surface of a dielectric tube and a cooling tube is inserted inside of the dielectric tube, along the axis of the tube so that operating fluid causes to flow toward inner diameter of the dielectric tube. CONSTITUTION:Wick 16 contacts with an inner surface of an dielectric tube 15 in an ozone tube 12. Therefore, the wick 16 is wholly wet with vaporizing liquid such as water. Silent discharge occurs at an outer surface of the ozone tube 12 and generates heat. The generated heat causes pure water to vaporize from the inner wall surface of the dielectric tube 15. The water vaporization effects cooling of the inner wall. Water vapor condenses on the surface of a cooling tube 18, then waterdrops form and grow to a certain size and fall down as indicated by arrow 22. The fallen waterdeops reach the bottom of the wick 16, then permeate the whole space through strong capillary action of the wick 16. This maintains the wick 16 at a constant wetness. This function as described, i.e., heat pipe action, contributes to an effective and safe internal cooling operation of the ozone tube 12.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a flat plate type ozonizer provided with a simply attachable and detachable discharge tube and facilitating maintenance and inspection by putting a flat platelike discharge tube in a flat tubular low voltage electrode with a plurality of spacers arranged at both edges of the tube in-between. CONSTITUTION:A flat platelike discharge tube 6 made of dielectric 3 holding an embedded high voltage electrode 1 composed chiefly of an electrically conductive film and a wire net is put in a flat tubular low voltage electrode 2 made of metal with spacers 7 arranged at both sides of the tube 6 in-between to form a gap 4 between the tube 6 and the electrode 2, and a boosting transformer 5 applying a high AC voltage to the gap is connected to the tube 6 and the electrode 2 to manufacture an ozonizer. Each of said spacers 7 is formed by bending a spring steel sheet having about 0.1-0.2mm. thickness. The sheet is provided with both edge parts 9 at both sides of the body 8 and a central part 10.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate maintenance of an ozonizer and reduce the cost for manufacturing it by constituting the ozonizer with a platelike dielectric with an electric conductor closely contacted to the inside of a space portion, grounded electrodes each having a tubular section and housing a plurality of the dielectrics with a space in-between, and a container. CONSTITUTION:Container 1a is provided with feed gas inlet 1j, outlet 1k, etc., and it is internally installed with platelike dielectric 3 with platelike conductor 3b as a high voltage electrode closely contacted to the interior and grounded electrodes 4 each having a tubular section and housing a plurality of dielectrics 3 with predetermined space 5 in-between. Electrode 4 is made of electrically conductive plate and provided with supports 6 each having a stainless steel wool elastic filler and supports 7 each housing similar filler 7b in a case to prevent deformation. Feed gas from inlet 1j is ozonized through chamber 1d and spaces 5, and sent out of outlet 1K through chamber 1f. Thus, exchange of dielectrics 3 is facilitated as compared to a conventional flat platelike ozonizer.
