摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated wire rope capable of achieving good frictional contact of a sheave with the whole rope while preventing each abrasion caused by the contact between a core rope and an outer side strand, and between neighboring outer side strands, and abrasion caused by a metal touch of the sheave with the outer side strand, and facilitating the production.
SOLUTION: The upper layer of each side strand is constituted by twisting resin wires constituted so as to have diameters larger than the diameter of the element wire to form spaces between the side strand and the core rope, and among each side strand by the presence of the resin wires having relatively larger diameters, and the resin for coating the outer layer is pressed and filled into the spaces.
