摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sense a carrier at short intervals exerting no influence on a communication time within the communication time by shortening the carrier sense intervals of a reception side under the control of a timer means and also shortening the transmit signal of a transmission side correspondingly. SOLUTION: In a communication state, a control means 3 actuates a power source control means 4 by set values of the set timer means 5 to supply electric power to radio equipment 2. The carrier sense function of the radio equipment 2 judges whether or not a radio wave is received by an antenna 1 in a short time. When no radio wave is received, the control means 3 stops supplying the electric power to the radio equipment 2 and when the radio wave is received, the power supply is maintained. For transmission, on the other hand, a link connection signal is sent from the antenna 1 in response to the start of the power supply to the radio equipment 2 from a standby state. The timer means 5 actuates a power source control means 4 to supply the electric power to the radio equipment 2.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio station which attains an optimum design in power consumption and circuit connection time for each application. SOLUTION: This radio station consists of a receiver 12, a transmitter 13, a CPU 30 which operates intermittently the receiver 12 at every carrier sense interval to detect a received signal in a signal waiting mode, etc. In such a constitution, the carrier sense interval set at a timer 40 can be changed by the CPU 30 serving as a control means. Meanwhile, the station ID of the opposite party and the carrier sense interval are stored in a set when a radio station registering communication is carried out before a communication is carried out with another radio station. Thus, a timing to transmit a circuit connection request signal that is sent to another radio station from the transmitter 13 in a circuit connection mode is determined based of the station ID of the opposite party and the carrier sense interval.

An automatic metering center 2 repeatedly originates a call and stops it so that the certain calling pattern corresponding to an inspected meter 13 is sent from the telephone exchange to the network control unit 11 so as to communicate with the inspected meter 13. The network control unit 11 confirms that calling stops after sounding in response to the incoming call.

This structure enhances hermetic seal between the glass 4 and a signal terminal 5 and between the glass 4 and the tubular body 1. Furthermore, since the number of sealing points is decreased, intrusion of moisture into a hermetically sealed vessel is prevented thus enhancing the reliability of electronic device.
