摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ISDN communication system that allows automatic switching between UUI communication and B channel communication. SOLUTION: When a center 3 side, using a B channel communication system calls on a terminal side, first, communication is performed by a D channel. That is, the center 3 transmits a meter reading request to a line IF 4 (step 201). The line IF 4 sets communication system information representing the B-channel communication system to the caller sub address or the receiver sub address of a SETUP message 21 and transmits the SETUP message to an I-NCU 9 via an ISDN public line (step 202). The I-NCU 9 receives communication system information 37 of the received message 21, recognizes it as the B channel communication system and receives it (step 203). Subsequently, the I-NCU 9 performs communication by using the D channel and the B channel as the B-channel communication system set to the received information 37 (step 204 to step 218).

SOLUTION: When a center 3, having plural lines is called from a terminal side, an NCU 9-1 of the terminal side first calls with a main telephone number A of a center 3 (step 200 and step 201), and a main selection device 5 of a center 3 side makes a center slave unit other than a center master unit 3-1, e.g. a center slave unit 3-2 receive (step 202). The receiving unit 3-2 attaches calling telephone number information, to which the telephone number B of the unit 3-2 is set to a UUI(user-user information) packet and answers the terminal side with it (step 210 to step 212). After that, the terminal side performs UUI(user-user information) communication with the calling telephone number B (step 220 to step 222).

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ISDN communication system having high line efficiency and reliability. SOLUTION: When a user performs calling communication to a center 3 side from a meter 13 side by using user/user information communication service, there are cases where a user exchange 9 of a network sometimes decides it as congestion, so that the meter 13 side may receive response corresponding to the condition of being in the midst of a conversation. For instance, an NCU 11 sets telegraphic message to a UUI(user/user information) of a SETUP message and transmits the SETUP message to the user side exchange 9 (step 204). While the exchange 9 decides it as congestion, the exchange 9 returns a REL 21 (release) message, where busy 28 or usable line unavailable channel 29 is set to a reason flag 27 corresponding to the condition of line being busy (step 206). Congestion is decided from the REL 21 (release) message received by the NCU 11, and a retry is performed after prescribed time that is shorter than a normal retry passes, (e.g., four seconds) (step 208). When the response corresponding to the condition of line being busy is received, the NCU 11 repeats retries for a prescribed number of times.

The base 5 has a flat plate shape and has an upper face 21, a bottom face 25, side faces 23a, 23b or the like. The upper face 21 is formed with threaded holes 27 in positions corresponding to the holes 11 of the lid 3, near corner parts of the upper face 21.
