When power is restored before the entry of the third energization time zone, the counting contents of the means 26 are cleared and an normal operation is performed. When the restoration of power takes place during the entry of the third energization time zone, the turning on of an output relay 39 is forbidden until the end of the third energization time zone. In this manner, an energization time, for example, 8hr is guaranteed even in case of a power failure. This can secure sufficient energization time to boil up water when an electric water heater is loaded thereby preventing inadvertent energization.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the ensuring of a specified energization time with respect to a load, by supplementing a power failure time to make an actual energization time for the load equal to a set energization time while a power failure supplement time is displayed. CONSTITUTION:When occurring during the energization, a power failure is detected 21 and a power failure detection signal is inputted into a computing means 22, which 22 counts 25 the time of the power failure. Then, the means 22 discriminates the restoration of power by the stoppage of inputting the power failure signal to end the counting of the power failure time and the power failure time thus counted 25 is stored 35. Then, upon the end of the energization time, the power failure time stored 36 is read to be set on an internal register of the means 22 as power failure time. Moreover, the means 22 displays 31 the current time and the power failure supplement time alternately while the power failure supplement time is subjected to a subtraction processing as time passes to continue the ON state of an output relay 38 until the power failure time is down to zero. When the end of the power failure supplement time is discriminated, the current time alone is displayed 31 and the relay 38 is turned off thereby ensuring a power supply to a load.

CONSTITUTION:When occurring during an energization time zone, a power failure is detected 21 and a power failure detection signal is inputted into a computing means 22, which works to count 25 a power failure time. Then, the means 22 discriminates the restoration of power by the stoppage of the power failure detection signal to end the counting of the power failure time and the power failure time counted 25 is stored 36. Then, the power failure time stored 36 is read out to be set on an internal register of the means 22. Moreover, when the energization time ends, time with an energization supplement time added thereto is compared with the current time to discriminate the end of a power failure supplement time and the ON state of an output relay 38 is continued. When the end of the power failure supplement time is discriminated, the relay 38 is turned off. When the subsequent energization start time is reached before the end of the power failure supplement time, the cancellation of the next energization is judged 40 and the results of the judgement are maintained during the subsequent energization time zone.
