摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a lightning arrester insulator assembly capable of maintaining a sufficient insulation effect between two insulator trains, and ensuring proper flash-over via an aerial discharge gap between discharge electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A lightning arrester insulator section 7A having a plurality of jointed lightning insulators 7, and an isolating insulator sections 8A having a plurality of jointed normal insulators 8 are connected in series to each other, thereby constituting the first insulator train 4. Furthermore, an isolating insulator section 9A having a plurality of jointed normal insulators 9 to the opposite disposition order of the first insulator train 4, and a lightning insulator section 10A having a plurality of jointed lightning insulators 10 are connected in series to each other, thereby constituting the second insulator train 5. Then, the grounding sides of both trains 4 and 5 are mounted on the support arm 2 of a steel tower at the predetermined gap. In addition, the load side ends of both trains 4 and 5 are connected to each other, and a power transmission line is supported on the load side connections of the trains 4 and 5. Also, discharge electrodes 23 and 24 are provided at the connecting sections of the lightning insulator sections 7A and 10A, and the isolating insulator sections 8A and 9A of both trains 4 and 5, and kept faced to each other via the predetermined aerial discharge gap.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the crack development to an insulator body and improve the bursting characteristic in the case of an abnormal overcurrent short circuit by adhering the outer circumferential parts of caps porcelain cylinder, a container of a to the upper and lower end parts of a lightning protecting element, respectively using an inorganic glass, and air-tightly holding the element. CONSTITUTION:A lightning protecting element 4 is disposed within a porcelain cylinder 3 through a reinforcing member, for example, consisting of a ceramic cylinder 5 made of alumina and a fire resisting inorganic fiber 6, and an upper cap 8-1 and a lower cap 8-2 are air-tightly sealed to the taper form upper end surface 7-1 and lower end surface 7-2 of the porcelain cylinder 3. Thus, a breakage position in the bursting can be localized on the caps for tightly receiving a ZnO element 4. Hence, the extension of cracks to an insulator body is prevented, and the bursting characteristic in the case of an abnormal excess current short circuit can be improved.
