    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leakage and flooding detecting device and method in which a location of an image pick-up device is not limited in a narrow range and misjudgment is not likely to occur, by providing a container with an inflow inlet for liquid to monitor and a mark body actuated by a detecting body which expands and deforms by bringing it into contact with the liquid to monitor. SOLUTION: A liquid leakage and flood detecting device is structured by providing a detecting body 3 in a cylindrical container 2 and attaching to an upper part of the container 2 a mark body 4 actuated by the detecting body 3 which expands and deforms by bringing it into contact with liquid to monitor. Where in the container 2 an inflow inlet is provided can be determined by predicting an infiltrating passage of the liquid to monitor. If flooded water is predicted to infiltrate from a lower part of the container, the inflow inlet is provided by making the bottom or the lower side of the container meshy, or forming a hole on the bottom of the container. If the liquid to monitor is predicted to infiltrate from the upper part of the container, the inflow inlet is provided by forming a hole in the mark body 4. Depending on a place for the flood detecting device, any of the above can be used.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate foreign matters in an enclosure securely and effectively, and reduce a manufacturing process time by moving the foreign matters by injecting gas for eliminating them, and making the enclosure vacuum, and dropping them. CONSTITUTION:An electrode structural body 105 is fixed to a backing plate 102 where an exhaust tube 107' is formed, a front plate 101 having a gas injection tube 107 in a side wall 103 is put to it, and they are sealed by a sealing part 8 to be a flat type cathode ray tube display unit 109. After sealing, mixed gas of nitrogen and hydrogen is blown from the tube 107 to move foreign matters in an enclosure 104, the tube 107' is connected with a vacuum exhaust unit to reduce the pressure, and the foreign matters are dropped in vacuum to be eliminated. These are repeated for several times, so the foreign matters are eliminated almost completely, and processes of panel baking, vacuum exhaust, activation of a cathode, emission baking, etc., are performed, and the tubes 107, 107' are welded and sealed respectively to complete the device 109.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate position control of each phosphor and of envelop by placing a light transmission type positioning marker and a positioning marker on the side of a screen surface, almost coaxially, so as to electrically detect the quantity of transmitted light, and whereby carrying out positioning. CONSTITUTION:Light is guided to a light detection means 42 such as a photodiode provided correspondingly on four corners of a back surface plate 14, through an open hole part 34 provided on the pattern of a non-light transmission film 32 on the end part of a screen surface 16, an open hole part 40 provided on the end part of an electrode structure 14, and through the back surface plate 12, of which at least a light transmission part is transparent, while the quantity of transmitted light is converted into an electric signal, and is sent to a signal process part 44. In the signal process part 44, a certain signal is obtained either by comparing the level of each signal of quantity of transmitted light, and a certain value read from a memory in the signal process part, with each other through a comparator, or by defining the signal of the quantity of transmitted light in each position, as maximum or minimum, and the signal is output to a driving part 46, and a jig is driven by the driving part 46, so as to move the electrode structure 14, and a relatively optimal position can thus be determined.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate distortion caused by heat with turnable insulating spacers by elastically holding a control electrode of a complex type control electrode by means of the turnable insulating spacers in all heat treatment processes of forming a flat type cathode-ray tube display. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive material 113 is bonded to an insulative substrate 102 in a predetermined position, and then, insulating spacers 104 are temporarily put inside a frame of a spacer position restricting portion 105. Furthermore, the adhesive material 113 is bonded to a control electrode 101 in a given position, or to the insulating spacer 104 in a position where the control electrode 101 is located. Another control electrode 103 is covered with the control electrode 101 so that both the control electrodes 101 and 103 are temporarily fixed via the insulating spacers 104 and elastic fixing members 108, 109 are welded together. The adhesive material 113, which is volatilized at a high temperature, used in temporarily fixing the insulating spacers 104 and the control electrode 101 is volatilized in a heat treatment. The insulating spacers 104 can be turned in a preset position between the control electrode 101 and the insulative substrate 102.
