摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the title powder useful as adsorbent, deodorant, etc., having excellent filtrability and permeability to air, etc., and being an aggregate of powder having large voids, by adsorbing acicular hydrated iron oxide fine particles on specified hematite particle. CONSTITUTION:A suspension contg. laminar delta-FeOOH and having >=2pH value is hydrothermally treated at 150-320 deg.C in an autoclave to obtain the O- or C-shaped hematite particles having 0.1-1.0mu mean value of max. diameter and 100-800Angstrom X-ray particle diameter in D104 face. Then, the suspension contg. the hematite is mixed with a suspension contg. the acicular hydrated iron oxide having 0.01-0.1mu major axis and 0.005-0.05mu minor axis to produce the multiple iron oxide particles adsorbing the acicular hydrated iron oxide fine particles on the surface of the hematite above-mentioned, and the particles are separated, dried and treated by heating (e.g. 350 deg.C) in the air to obtain the title powder.

摘要： PURPOSE:To develop an image having a three-dimensional feeling by a method wherein a coating material formed by compounding a planar hematite particle of specific average diameter, thickness, and planar ratio in a coating material forming base is applied on the surface of a molded article, and a magnetic field is applied to the coating material in an undried state. CONSTITUTION:A coating material formed by compounding a planar hematite particle of 0.5-5.0mum average diameter, 50-500Angstrom thickness, and 50:1-500:1 planar ratio in a coating material forming base is applied on the surface of a molded article. When a magnetic field is applied to the coating material in an undried state, an image formed by controlling the strength and direction of a magnetic flux can be developed on the surface of the molded article, and the image developed part is seen as if it is recessed. The large color difference between a magnetic field applied part and the other part results in a remarkably good three-dimensional feeling. Because the planar hematite particle of 0.5-5.0mum average diameter, 50-500Angstrom thickness, and 50:1-500:1 planar ratio is golden, it becomes a golden coating material having a metallic luster by being compounded in the coating material forming base. Therefore, a high-quality feeling and a massive feeling are further improved in addition to the forming of an image with a three-dimensional feeling.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the titled particle powder having high performance as a magnetic recording medium by coating spindle-shaped goethite particles having a specified specific surface area with a P compd. and Si compd. and subjecting to a heat treatment and treatment to execute reduction by heating respectively under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:The goethite particles (or hematite particles) having 70-200m /g specific surface area and spindle shape are suspended in water and the pH value thereof is adjusted to >=8. A phosphate is then added thereto at 0.1-2.0wt% in terms of PO2 per the weight of alpha-FeOOH. A water soluble silicate is added thereto at 0.2-8.0wt% in terms of SiO2 and after the pH is adjusted to 3-7, the P compd. and Si compd. are coated thereon. Such goethite particles are subjected to the heating treatment at 450-850 deg.C in a nonreducing atmosphere to have a high density; thereafter, the particles are reduced by heating in a reducing gas and Si further treated with gaseous ammonia. The magnetic metallic particle powder which has 40-80m /g specific surface area and 500-1,000Oe coercive force and is formed with a nitride layer essentially consisting of iron nitride on the particle surface is thus obtd.

Then, the particles are calcined at 400-800 deg.C to obtain the conductive iron oxide particulate powder having SnO2 particles with 0.1-40.0wt.% Sb in solid soln., on the surface thereof, and having OMEGA-cm volume resistivity.
