    • PURPOSE:To raise the accuracy of construction work by a method in which an echo sounder is provided from the swinging direction of a suction head to each given direction to measure the top position of each sludge, the jumping height of the sludge, and distances from the seabed face. CONSTITUTION:Echo sounders 6F and 6B capable of measuring the distance of sludge 5 of the seabed from the sludge face are set at a distance of about 1m on front side F and back side B at almost right angle to the swinging angle S of a suction head 3, by which the depth of construction is detected. The depth of the head 3 in the sludge is detected by the sounder 6R provided ahead of the swinging direction S, and the jumping height of sludge 5 is detected by the sounder 6L provided in the back side. Since the finish face in the sounder 6L can be controlled on the basis of relationships of the measured values by the sounders 6B and 6L, the dredging performance can be raised by preventing incomplete dredging work and also minimizing the loss by overdredging.

    • PURPOSE:To grasp exactly the advancing condition of dredging work by a method in which a gyroscope for detecting the swinging angles of a suction head is provided, an echo sounder is provided in a given direction from the swinging direction, and the dredging work amount is calculated. CONSTITUTION:Echo sounders 6F and 6B capable of measuring the distance of sludge 5 of seabed from the sludge face are set at the distance of about 1m on the front side F and back side B at almost right angle to the swinging direction S of a suction head, by which the depth of dredging work is detected. The swinging width is detected by a gyroscope 8 and the dredging amount is calculated from the detected values of swinging width and dredging depth. By detecting the swinging speeds of the head 3, the efficiency of dredging work can be known. Since the dredging amount can be soon obtained during the dredging work, the advancing condition of the dredging work can be determined to make the construction administration of the dredging work easier.

    • PURPOSE:To make execution of work easy by a method wherein sensor heads and reflecting boards are installed on both sides of a form timbering and on fixed points corresponding to them, and displacements measured with the above- mentioned instruments are displayed and concrete is placed according to the displayed displacements. CONSTITUTION:Sensor head 10, 10A, numbered five in total, are fixed to two positions on the underside on both the right and the left sides of a gantry 5 and to a position on the gable side of a tunnel. Reflecting boards 11, 11A are then provided, facing each of the sensor heads, and are fixed to the ground GL. Laser beams emitted from the sensor heads 10, 10A are reflected with the reflecting boards 11, 11A and the distance between each of the sensor heads and each of the reflecting boards is measured out of the time required for returning of the reflected beam. According to displacements confirmed by the above-mentioned measurement, quantity of concrete to be placed and the measured displacement of a form timbering are shown on a CRT, and speed and positions for concrete placement is then adjusted by visual observation of the display so that the displacements become roughly identical on both the right and the left sides of the form timbering.
