    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller screw capable of preventing clogging caused by meandering of a roller when the roller is moved from a no-load roller returning passage to a load roller rolling passage.
      SOLUTION: The roller screw is provided with a screw shaft 5 having a spiral roller rolling groove 5a on an outer peripheral surface, a nut 6 having a spiral roller rolling groove 6a confronting the roller rolling groove 5a of the screw shaft 5 on an inner peripheral surface, a plurality of rollers 7 arranged in the load roller rolling passage 9 between the roller rolling groove 5a of the screw shaft 5 and the roller rolling groove 6a of the nut 6, and circulating members 12 and 13 having the no-load roller returning passage 10 connecting an end and the other end of the load roller rolling passage 9. Tapered parts 36a to 36d are formed on the no-load roller returning passage 10 connected to the load roller rolling passage 9 so that the distance between a pair of wall surfaces confronting with each other becomes narrower as going to the load roller rolling passage 9.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a sealing property of the seal member of a ball screw. SOLUTION: A ball screw is provided with a screw shaft 11 having a ball rolling groove 11a on its outer periphery, a plurality of balls capable of rolling along the ball rolling groove 11a, a nut threadedly engaged through the balls with the screw shaft 11, and a seal member 21 provided at the shaft end of the nut. The inner periphery of the seal member 21 is provided with a spirally projected part 211 engaging with the ball rolling groove 11a. Part of the seal member 21 is peripherally split into a plurality of blocks by a plurality of slits extended to the midway of the seal member 21 from its one side 212. Some blocks are formed so that the inner peripheral edge 214c of the end face 214a may come into contact with the ball rolling groove 11a only. The other blocks are formed so that the inner peripheral edge 214c of the end face 214a may come into contact with the outer peripheral face 11b of the screw shaft 11 only.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball screw having a seal member capable of simply adjusting contact pressure to the screw shaft of the seal member. SOLUTION: A seal member 2 is engaged with an engaging part 1b formed on both the ends of a nut 1, respectively. The outside diameter of the seal member 2 is formed into a taper shape gradually tapering toward the interior of the nut 1 in the axial direction. The inside diameter of the engaging part 1b is formed into a taper shape gradually tapering toward the interior of the nut 1 in the axial direction. Moving the seal member 2 in the axial direction of the nut 1 adjusts press force applied to the seal member 2 from the engaging part 1, nonstepwisely adjusting the fastening margin of the seal member 2. Thus, contact pressure to the screw shaft of the seal member 2 is simply adjusted just by moving the seal member 2 in the axial direction of the nut 1 without changing parts or the like.
