摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide waterproof clothes excellent in moisture permeability and waterproofness and good in wear feeling as clothes. SOLUTION: In a clothes in which at least a part of the body and sleeves comprises a face side fabric 1 and a lining fabric 2, the lining fabric 2 comprises a water repellent fabric woven in high density by using fine filament yarns and having >=300 mm water-resistant pressure, a fabric having >=10 cc/cm /sec air permeability is used as the face side fabric 1 and an atmospheric layer made of a fabric having large air content such as a mesh fabric having >=0.4 mm thickness or a fabric comprising a lace fabric is laid between the face side fabric 1 and the lining fabric 2, thus, the waterproof clothes is constituted of the face side fabric 1 and the lining fabric 2 mutually separated by the fabric having a high rate of air content.

The aforementioned combined filament yarn or twisted union yarn is used to arrange electrically conductive polyester multifilament yarn at 0.5-3cm interval in the warp and/or weft directions and loops mainly composed of the above-mentioned low- shrinkable polyester multifilament yarn are formed on the woven fabric surface. A low-air-permeable woven fabric is woven and then subjected to water repellent processing.

CONSTITUTION:A water repellent fabric, obtained by weaving combined filament yarn composed of modified polyester fiber prepared by copolymerizing 0.5-10mol% phosphonium salt of sulfonic acid (e.g. tetrabutylphosphonium salt of 3,5-dicarboxybenzenesulfonic acid) expressed by the formula (A is aromatic or aliphatic group; X1 is ester-forming functional group; X2 is ester-forming group same as or different from X1 or H; R1 to R4 are groups selected from alkyl and aryl groups; (n) is an optional number) and mixing a quaternary onium salt (e.g. tetramethylammonium hydroxide) in an amount of 0.1-20mol% based on the aforementioned salt in the above-mentioned copolymer and having =1.5 denier single filament size and >=3.0% difference in shrinkage factor in boiling water between both and subjecting the resultant fabric to water repellent finish and excellent in durability in washing.
