CONSTITUTION:When off-hook is executed for transmission, CPU 15 drives GS relay 12 and operates a contact gs to pick up a line L to permit speaking. When the charging signal receiving processing of the CPU 15 is started and the response of an opposite party is detected, charging processing is executed. Besides, the CPU 15 executes charging interval reading processing which measures time from the response of the opposite party to charging signal reception to read the measuring value (charging interval time value). When no charging signal comes for some reason, the measured charging interval time is set as the timer value of a timer. Thus, even if no charging signal comes, the charging processing is executed in the timing equivalent to the essential coming time of the charging signal.

Thus, processing is simplified, and the invalid card can be detected without any conflict.
