    • PURPOSE:To ensure the proper ascent and descent of a roof by rotating a shaft on the operation of a drive mechanism for the subsequent rotation of a screw shaft and vertical motion of a nut member along the screw shaft on the rotation thereof to cause a roof support section for bearing the roof to ascend and descend. CONSTITUTION:A roof structure body 21 is provided at a position above a baseball field 71, so as to be capable of freely ascending and descending. The body 21 has a trapezoidal form and a soccer field 77 using natural turf is formed on the upper surface of the body 21. In a dome structure, the body 21 is elevated up to the uppermost position of roof support pillars 23 and ceiling height is made maximum, when a baseball game is watched. On the other hand, when a soccer game is watched, using the soccer field 77, the body 21 is lowered to the lowermost position of the pillars 23. In a roof elevating device so constituted, therefore, when a shaft 45 is rotated with a motor 57 via a reduction gear 59, a screw shaft 27 is rotated and a nut member 29 vertically moves along the screw shaft 27 due to the rotation thereof. Thus, a roof support section to bear a roof is made to ascend and descend. According to this construction, the roof can be made to properly ascend and descend via the application of a simple construction.
