    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To economically reduce a pullout force acting on a base isolation device without reducing the substantial floor space of a building.
      SOLUTION: This base-isolated building comprises a base isolation layer Bc having a plurality of base isolation devices M between the lower structural part Ba of the building and the upper structural part Bb of the building. The base-isolated building further comprises a floating prevention means H for preventing the upper structural part of the building from being floated. The floating prevention means H comprises a pair of engagement structural parts 3 which are engaged with each other when they are moved close to each other in the lateral direction to constrain the separating movement in the vertical direction. The both engagement structural parts 3 are installed in the lower and upper structural parts Ba and Bb of the building, respectively.
