摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a brine generator reduced in the consumption of energy and needing only a small floor space for the equipment. SOLUTION: Seawater 90 is stored in a concd. brine tank 24 by operating a raw water pump 12, and then the seawater 90 in the tank 24 is heated by operating a circulating pump 34 and a heat source 40 and circulated between the tank 24 and a membrane-distillation membrane module 18. The unheated seawater 90 is simultaneously passed through the inside of the module 18. Consequently, only fresh water is extracted from the seawater being circulated in the module 18 and stored in a fresh water tank 46. Accordingly, the seawater being circulated is gradually increased in salinity with time according to the amt. of the fresh water extracted, the circulation is stopped when the salinity of the seawater stored in the tank 24 reaches a desired salinity. As a result, the brine of the desired salinity is obtained.

A pair of the hinge-connected face materials 2, 3 generate a rotary motion by the alternately generated expansion and contraction in direct opposition of the two tubes 5, 6. Accordingly, the hinge can be manufactured simply by few part constitution by combining existing materials and parts.
