    • PURPOSE:To keep the grinding force of a grinding wheel constant without being influenced by the finned state of the inner peripheral surface of a pipe and the shape of the grinding wheel by controlling the control voltage value of a pressure control valve in such a way that the driving cuurent of a driving motor becomes the fixed value. CONSTITUTION:The grinding force of a grinding wheel 6 to the inner peripheral surface of an object pipe 14 is detected as the driving current of a driving motor 5. The pressing force of the grinding wheel 6 to the inner peripheral surface of the object pipe 14 is controlled by the control power of a pressure control valve 13. Accordingly, when the driving current of the driving motor 5 is larger than the specified value, the control voltage of the pressure control valve 13 is lowered by a control circuit 10, and when the driving current of the driving motor 5 is smaller than the specified value, the control voltage of the pressure control valve 13 is raised by the control circuit 10. As a result, the driving current of the driving motor 5 can be constantly kept to the fixed valve, and therefore the grinding force of the grinding wheel 6 to the inner peripheral surface of the object pipe 14 can be kep constant without being influence by the finned state of the inner peripheral surface and the shape of the grinding wheel.

    • PURPOSE:To secure the protection of an edge by setting a cutting unit for a product as liftable, holding this cutting unit with the product drawn upward the integrally ascending the cutting unit and the product. CONSTITUTION:In a continuous casting apparatus, in which the product 7 is drawn upward from a mold 2, the cutting unit 12, which can cut the product 7 to the prescribed length, is set as vertically liftable. This cutting unit 12 has a lifting frame 13 and product clamping devices 14, 15, 16 are arranged at the positions of vertical these points. This cutting unit 12 and the product 7 are constituted so as to integrally ascend. Between the cutting unit 12 and the product 7, the shifting, such as between pinch rolls and the product, does not developed. By this method, in the case of contacting type cutting system, this makes sure of protection to the edge without an excessive load and in the case of a non-contacting type cutting system, the direction of the cutting face is surely perpendicular to the direction of axis.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce variance of tube thickness in axial direction by pouring molten metal from tip opening part of a spout toward position in front of lowermost position of inner circumferential surface of a mold in rotating direction of the mold. CONSTITUTION:At the time of pouring the molten metal, a trough part 13 is beforehand inserted into the inner part of mold 12, and the molten metal 19 is poured into the inner part of mold 12 from the tip opening part 15 of spout 14 in the trough part 13 while shifting the mold 12 so as to leave the trough part 13 from the rotating mold 12. At this time, the molten metal 19 is poured to the position C which is shifting upward from the lowermost position to the upper end position in the inner circumferential surface of mold 12. Then, as the molten metal is abutted on the inner circumferential surface of mold 12 with gravitational acceleration acting in reverse direction to the rotating direction of mold 12, the acceleration of circumferential direction applied with the rotation of mold 12 is cancelled, and running 20 of the molten metal can be made to slow and the width thereof is made to wide and the variance of tube thickness in the radial direction can be reduced.
